And we have a cure? Remember Easter Island?
Reply
A series of devastating events killed or removed almost the entire population of Easter Island in the 1860s. In December 1862, Peruvian slave raiders struck Easter Island. Violent abductions continued for several months, eventually capturing or killing around 1500 men and women, about half of the island's population. A dozen islanders managed to return from their slavery, but brought with them smallpox and started an epidemic, which reduced the island's population to the point where some of the dead were not even buried.

It is wise to continue the path as a gift giver and ignore the NSC as much as possible, as it is today's rendition of the gift giver and destroyer...a Cabal- * a clique (often secret) that seeks power usually through intrigue
* conspire: engage in plotting or enter into a conspiracy, swear together; "They conspired to overthrow the government"
* conspiracy: a plot to carry out some harmful or illegal act (especially a political plot)

Hate to say this, Wiki, but I think that stats are a bit off. The author of the article could improve his English too. There is no way that 80% of Americans had TB in the 1990s. I don't trust the 1/3 of population world wide quote either.

Don't mistake me. TB is a huge killer and some strains have become immune to most of the wonder drugs. But try to post more reputable sources.

I think that was a typo and should have read in the 1890s. I know of several families that had the disease back in the early 1900s, and it killed most of them. I once asked a neighbor why so many in her family had died during a particular year (I thought it might have been a flu epidemic) but she said they all had TB. And one of my great uncles married a woman who came from a family with TB. they had around 10 children and lost about 4 of them to TB.

People should be aware that many illegal aliens who come here from Mexico, Central and South America ALSO from Asia (across the US/Canada border) are infected with TB. The majority of them never get a health exam or a TB test. Chinese and Mexican restaurants hire these people to work in the kitchens. They cough, they laugh, etc. and the TB "germs" float through the air right into the food. They handle your dishes, they clean (sort of) the tables, and all this time, they're swarming with germs. I no longer eat in Mexican or Chinese restaurants because of the danger. I already have bad allergies and asthma and can't afford further lung damage. These illegals are rarely caught because whenever Immigration is going to inspect a restaurant, someone in Immigration will tip off the restaurant, the illegals will go home, and nobody illegal will be there when Immigration arrives OR the illegals will have false documentation that looks authentic enough to pass inspection. This is a total disregard for the safety of the customers in my opinion. Restaurants who hire illegals who may have diseases or parasites certainly don't deserve our patronage. TB cannot be cured. It can go into remission, but it cannot be cured. My daughter who is a RN gave me that fact.
