I am hopeful that the legislators in Pennsylvania will see this bill as a fight for fairness and equal rights rather than an attack on families. If anyone is attacking the family, the far right cons are the ones who seek to punish the families built by gay and lesbian couples. This bill has a long way to go, but if shepherded properly could make its way out of committee and to the full chamber.

Hey, if one of the parents dies or they get divorced, it's the child's right to have a mother and father, so the government either needs to find a new spouse for the remaining parent, or remove them from that home and place them with a proper 2-opposite-sex parent household.

It only makes sense. It's every child's right to have a mother and father.

The biggest problem with getting equal rights legislation is getting it by the religious groups. The religious groups should butt out it's none of their business, they don't have to agree or sanctify any marriage they don't want to.

As we have heard from Wanda Sykes a few times..."If you don't like same sex marriage, don't marry someone of the same sex." No one can explain with any clarity or logic how it is that gay marriages break apart, fracture or in any way harm heterosexual marriages or relationships.

Pastor Devlin argued that the bill is a “train wreck” that would deny rights for children, such as having a mother and a father.>>>>>

WTF is that fool talking about? Millions & millions of children are being raised by single mom's, & to a smaller degree by single dad's or grandparent(s). 500,000 kids are in foster care, jerked around from home to home & never bonding with a real family. At 18, they're kicked out on the street, with no support group. If that jackass gave a hoot about kids, he'd be fighting to get half a million kids permanent home with people who have no requirement to be of a particular sex to be nurturing human beings. GAWD I hate people like him! Judgmental jerk! -

I pray that some day we can come together as human beings understanding that there is no boundries in love. Every human has the right to love the person of their choice and to share in life companion rights, which ever the sex's are.

I have 2 gay parrots, they love each other, take care of each other. preen each other, feed each other, and are bonded for life...they dont know they are gay though, I decided to let then experience life with out discrimination. -
