Well, sorry, but there's no mention of the police, except where they said that a business has the right to refuse service--and they do. Apparently you've missed those signs in almost every business in the country. Besides that, kissing is certainly NOT a "right." And, if the owner wants to be an ignorant dick, that's certainly HIS "right." These were private security guards--so don't go seeing the boogie man hiding in every shadow.

Of course, the big question is, why does a restaurant have GUARDS (notice, that's PLURAL), and why would someone choose to eat there to begin with? I'm just curious, does anyone who is reading this ever eat in a restaurant with GUARDS?? I sure as hell don't. This kind of thing is much easier to deal with than the police, just boycott the place and let the world know it's being run by homophobes--and worse yet, homophobes that don't want your business. They're likely to find out that a much larger portion of their clientele is gay than they ever thought, and some of their employees too.
And, of course, the "kiss" needs to be defined. Even a kiss between straight people may warrant being asked to go get a room and get the hell out of the restaurant. Was it a simple brief smooch, or a full-on, shirts off, pinned against the wall gropefest in the middle of the dining room?-

I agree with you on most points seafoam...except for the guards calling them names and this part of the article................."This is such a blatant refusal to uphold the law on account of discrimination," she said. "The result is devastating. The Police Department is allowing that and even participating in it by refusing to enforce an anti-discrimination ordinance, which is what their job is."

And, they said it was a simple kiss, nothing more.
