Republican Senators hit the Sunday news show airwaves today to defend former Vice President Dick Cheney and the secret CIA domestic spying program. Senators Judd Gregg, Lamar Alexander, John Kyl, and John Cornyn all defended Cheney in some way, and they accused the Democrats of trying to use the story to provide political cover for Speaker Nancy Pelosi, and President Obama.

Will Cheney FINALLY have to answer for his actions? I'm afraid to get too optimistic but it would feel soooo good to see him and the rest of the hacks that are involved get what they have coming to them.

Umm, the Democrats didn't order the CIA to engage in domestic spying. "Dead eyes" Dick Cheney did. If he broke the law then he needs to go to jail. Just like you or I would.

Jeff Sessions: "I would just say that sometimes leaked stories from unnamed sources don't turn out to be quite what they appear to be. Maybe they don't know the full facts and-- and so forth in these matters. Some of the Intelligence Committee people are pushing back on those stories. I don't know what the facts are."

Sen. Sessions seems to have given us good reason to investigate the allegations thoroughly.

Anyone that doubts Cheney was behind this and everything else illegal is a deluded fool! Of course Cheney's behind it. Time to put the bastard in jail!

so let me ge this straight.

the cons aren't mad at Cheney for violating the constitution.

instead. they're mad at the dems for supposedly trying to use this story for political cover (which the dems aren't doing of course. this story about cheney is big news. no need to for the dems to try and pump it to the press).

          and if thats the case...wow.

cons, those are some seriously f*cked up values you've got there.

its too bad GWB and VP Cheney did such a good job of protecting Americans. if only they'd published their strategy in the NY Times and begged the "i surrender" libersl congressional whackos to approve it, theres no doubt we would have had a nuke or two go off. then there'd have been less crybaby mental midgets around to vote for the socialist, and our country would continue to be safe. as it is, Hussein obama attacks America and bends over to terrorists. He will cause the destruction of america's economy and we will soon be under authority of chavez and castro, hussein's blood brothers and mentors.

It's called a cover story. Since most of the journalism students I've met are liberal, they should know this. It's a smoke screen. The left can see people are asking questions. Why did Obama seize the auto industry and give the remains to the UAW. They were one of the few groups with no real title who should have received nothing but were given everything. Some like me are asking about the banks. Why didn't we see a real set of hearings. "Bank-Gate". Since everything is controlled by the DNC, there's only one answer, the money trail leads right back to their leadership.

So are asking about the supposed stimulus package. Why are we spending so many billions yet we're seeing no new jobs created. We're somewhere around 10% and climbing. Some benefit.

Now they want national medicaid for everyone. With the over spending and soon to be over taxing, middle America is ready for hope and change. We hope there's pocket change left in our pockets when the Dems are voted out.

BB64: WOULD YOU BE REFERRING TO A SHOW TRIAL SUCH AS BILL CLINTON'S IMPEACHMENT FOR BONKING MONICA ? AT LEAST HE WASN'T TRYING TO TEAR DOWN THE CONSTITUTION. CAN'T SAY THE SAME FOR THAT YELLOW-BELLIED, SNAKE IN THE GRASS ,SWAMP CRAWLING, KNUCKLE-DRAGGER WHO LIED TO CONGRESS. IF THIS IS THE BEST YOU CAN DO, BE PREPARED FOR A LONG TIME OUT OF POWER.

BB64 "If Bush and Cheney broke laws, they did so with the approval of Congress."
You are absolutely correct. Congress was controlled BY REPUBLICANS the first four years of the bush disaster. That's the time that the constitution and bill of rights was shredded by bush. It is also the time when the illegal wire taps and now we find out more, was started and happening. In those four years, bush did not veto ONE spending bill sent to him by the republican led congress. So if I follow you correctly, all the republicans that voted for this travesty should be on trial with bush and cheney. I totally agree with you!

BB64 "It's like dealing with the Nazis in the 1930's" yES IT WAS, BUT THE BUSH CHENEY YEARS ARE OVER. Cheney told the CIA to mislead/lie to congress so there would be no way for Pelosie and congress to know what was going on, part of the shreding of the constitution, bush couldn't screw america if the checks and balances were in place so they just ignored them.Talking points,,,Hmmm,,oh, you mean the facts that are slowly coming out about what bush actually did to destroy our country. No mailings, just evening news
