What an idiotic video. Perhaps those at the festival overreacted to a group of cross emblazoned fanatics shoving video cameras in their faces, but who was really entrapping who on this video? Those who didn't want to be filmed by people obviously there to antagonize those at the festival (or else the cross emblazoned t-shirts would have been left at home) or those with multiple angled video shots of the encounter with the captions counting every touch as a "hit" and/or "push"? I mean really.
Reply
I did notice how the moment the real police arrived on scene though, the videographers changed from "we are just trying to ask a question" to "we are just trying to leave" as the video promptly ended. Coincidence or just ironic timing?

This wasn't like walking into a synagogue, this was like walking into an Arabic food festival. If the cross is like the swasticka to them, well no WONDER they are carving off heads to "Allah is great" and flying civilian filled planes into buildings, or, having two retarded women strapped up with bombs going into two Iraqi Shiite pet stores, killing over a hundred innocent Shiite children as they looked at possible puppies to love.

Uninvited cameras are offensive. It should be self evident to anyone with even modest powers of reasoning or common sense. Furthermore it is obvious that these clowns are trying to start something and mix it up. They're not there to learn, they're trying to stir up hostility.

How many other people would have acted like that? IF it was reversed, and Muhammadans came to a bunch of Christians to ask them what they thought about abortion and homosexuality, do you think they would have acted like these Muhammadans in this video? Be truthful now, NO al taqqiya.

I imagine the same type of response could be had by Atheists attending a Baptist Revival complete with camaras.
Reply
Or Protestants attending a Catholic block party.
Or Buddhists crashing a Hindu Chili cook-off.
Or Scientologists entering a float at a Mormon parade. -

Anybody who has participated in organizing an event using municipal areas knows exactly what went on.
Reply
They just wanted an enjoyable event for the participants and the public, according to their rules, as allowed by law. That gives the organizers considerable leeway in deciding who does what. Just because you built a float doesn't mean you get to join the parade, etc...
The actual assaults are inexcusable. I'm wondering why the police weren't involved much earlier. -

some christians with cameras looking to pick a fight come after some muslims. got it. jesus would be proud. i'd like to have seen what the police had to say. i'll bet they didn't put our amateur journalists in the best possible light. why weren't the cameras rolling then, huh? they probably just broke up this seething little cauldron lit and stoked by our intrepid reporters and moved them out of there with a warning to kick their *ss if they came back
Reply
it's the camera that's the primary catalyst for trouble, the christian t-shirt backs up the agenda. it explains the "mission" ("witnessing" for brownie points for a first-class ticket to heaven no doubt). i mean honestly, does this really need to be pointed out?
muttania, try sticking a camera in any stranger's face without permission for as long as you can, throw some hi-horse, smart*ss questions at them to bait them, crap on loudly about your rights and what country this is, stalk them on camera as they're walking minding their own business (as was done with the woman) and then see how long YOU last before you see some action. and you would deserve it too as you have demonstrably provoked and demonized them. which really, was the point of this little exercise in pettiness as well as your posting this on propeller.
so i suggest you do the same. post it on you tube when you're done and then leave it for us to comment on it here at propeller. look forward to seeing it. you'll have to cover your own legal and medical costs though. good luck with that
there is a presumption here that is very wrong. it is the belief that shooting someone with a camera vindicates all your actions and gives you immunity from any kind of feedback you would and should otherwise receive. the erroneous belief that mastery of the camera, now matter how amateurish and prejudiced, is mastery over reality.
btw.... you only confirm my disdain for and loathing of all religions, especially yours and its accompanying sense of ignorant self-importance, self-righteousness and unjustified presumed superiority while it claims and professes "humility," "charity," "altruism" and "selflessness." hypocrites -

The 9-11 denial theory is an inside job that was hatched in the darkness of you pea sized noggin! I guess those terrorist hijackers conspired with the U.S. government to commit suicide, because they loved America so much, right? How does their suicide fit in to your ridiculous illusion of a story? Tell me how the CIA planted explosives throughout this huge building, then wired each explosive to go off in such a way to make it possible, And then without anyone of the 50,000 workers of the world trade center seeing a damn thing? Do you think they were in on it to.
Reply
Well anyway, I'm hearing a better theory from the insane asylum nearby. It goes something like this.................................................
Obama and the liberal Democrats destroyed the towers to make George Bush invade the middle east, because the Saudis wouldn't support Gay marrige, and they wanted revenge, but they were too frightened to do it themselves. what you think about that? This is what I'm hearing from other crazies out there! You know, that makes a whole lot of sense to me! If I were you, I would run with this story instead. Who knows. Maybe your shrink might even believe you, and give you a decrease in your F#@&*%G prozac.

I'm not so optimistic, MILITA. Personally, I feel Islam WILL be victorious and conquor the world. I feel that the day looms where EVERYone's patooti will be up in the air five times a day EVERY day with the REST of them. That some day, people will look back at this, remember the few threads LIKE this on the internet that questioned and tried to reveal true Islam to the world, and they will feel envious. Envious that someone, like me, in 2009, could speak his mind and true feelings about Islam, and... remain BREATHing.

More words from the Phyllis Kuntz.
Muslims number in the billions. We can all hope that the defeat of Islamists who are in no way Muslims comes soon, but there's no "defeating" Muslims any more than there's defeating Christians. What I don't get is how you can justify the hatred of more than a billion people based on the action of fewer than a thousand.
You want to win the war on terror? Stop bombing babies and women indiscriminately and calling up more than a thousand years of oppression by the west by calling a war against a group of ideologues a crusade and talking about God telling you to go to war in Iraq. Try to understand that terrorists aren't actually Muslims and that Muslims along with Islam condemn the action of terrorists. Stop painting people with a wide brush and send people to learn instead of kill. -

Oh, if you are religious, you are irrational in your thinking, ok, got it. For a while there, I thought you were going to show examples of where I was being irrational. Instead, you attack everyone who is religious by calling them irrational. How much you want to bet, though, that since it's an attack on me, Muhammadans will defend your statement, even though you just insulted them as well, Decipher?

Oh, so now this video is RATIONAL thought, but, people who are religious are irrational. Ok. You know, I have a tendency to agree with you a bit on the latter. But, I don't fault them. But, how come I have a feeling that if you were around a Jihadi Muhammadan who WAS super religious, (like the 45 British Islamic MEDICAL doctors who tried to destroy two Scottish airports in 2007), you'd change your tune about religious people being irrational real fast?

Muslims are not even afraid of your guns, tanks, air crafts, war ships and those sophisticated missiles, why would they be afraid of cameras? What they are afraid of is, your intrusion in their activities where Islam haters like you are not welcome but personally I don't mind taking on any hater.
Say: O People of the Scripture! Come to an agreement between us and you: that we shall worship none but Allah, and that we shall ascribe no partner unto Him, and that none of us shall take others for lords beside Allah. That is the stupidest remark I've ever heard. We have ALWAYS been multi-cultural, multi-religious. And don't look now, but that's why we ARE free!!!! You want a theocracy? Go find an island somewhere. -

Anyway. I've got a question for you "Muslims" on this thread. HOW many of you here have made the fatal mistake of telling the members of your mosque that you are battling "haters" on Propeller and have let if know what the name of your icon is? I say it's a fatal mistake if you have. For you are then under the watchful eye of your fellow Muhammadans. And, guess what? I DON'T blame you at ALL then for constantly trying to call me a liar and hater with the evidence I keep on asking that you show to support your accusations of me, because it's death for you if you actually are found agreeing with me. IF you have made that fatal mistake of letting them know who you are on Propeller, YOU are being watched from now on. SINCE you constantly call me a liar, that I have to "take my meds", that I'm a "hater", that I "hate Muslims", etc., etc., I'm seeing that AS PROOF that you have squealed on yourself. That ALL of you have accidentally called attention to your icon HERE on this site. If so, well, again, I feel sorry for you. You are trapped and you need my prayers NOT ridicule.

What are Muslims afraid of?
Reply
Let's see. Rendition, torture, indefinite imprisonment, imprisonment without charges, denial of presumption of innocence, denial of due process, denial of the right to an attorney, denial of the right to face their accusers, denial of the protections against self-incrimination, denial of right to privacy.
But I'm sure they are just being big babies about it. -

All I can say is this ... every time I see one of Mutainia's Hate-Filled-Screed submissions, it really takes me back in time.
Reply
Back to when white people lined the sidewalk out front of Little Rock High School ...
Back to when American Catholics were hated by Evangelicals ... ( well, this is still true ) ...
Back to when Jews were vilified in pre-WW2 Germany ...
Why do these hatreds continue to lurk beneath the surface of our history?
It's as if the congenitally hate-filled keep scratching at the surface ... never allowing us to collectively eliminate this disease from our system ... once and for all.

I don't see this as "muslims afraid of" anything. I see this as wanna be big shots flexing their muscles cause they have 'security' written on their shirts. There are punks like that in every 'group'. Perhaps before cities give permits for public events, they need to explain to the participants that they may be put on film & it's not OK to have a fit about it. They're in public, and what they say or do is for anyone to see....or tape.

The Modern Penal Code section 250.4(MPC) defines harassment as a petty misdemeanor if with purpose is to harass another, he: 1) makes a phone call without a legitimate purpose; or 2) insults, taunts or challenges another in a manner likely to provoke violent or disorderly response; or 3) calls at inconvenient hours or in offensive language; or 4) subjects another to offensive touching; or 5) engages in any other course of alarming conduct serving no legitimate purpose of the actor.

I'm sure that the Festival organizers must have had a designated use permit for the public property, which gave them responsibilities and rights that the cameramen didn't consider but a judge would.
I don't think the Sharia group was afraid of anything. They just didn't want to be harassed. -

You know. I noticed the same thing. He has an obsession with Arab ass. Very strange. But then I've seen him in his mommy's basement in his Magnum PI shirt and it just screams closet homosexual.
That said, I wonder if he realizes that other religions, such as Eastern Orthodox Christians also pray through prostration. Or that Jews, twice a year also 'put their patootie up' in their prayers for the Torah.

These guys just don't understand how the Democratic process works. Whatever you are trying to accomplish, you want media. I know, I have been organizing or a group that was trying to take over the government for the last few yeas, and we begged for all the media attention we could get. That organization is called the Democratic Party.

dlee, since most media is owned by repugs... dems do work to get attention.... but the Dem party is not the terrorist party of America.... the one that tortures, conducts preemptive war, takes away 800 years of western law (habeas corpus), let 911 happen, made lies to invade Iraq, Gitmo/Abu Ghraib, eavesdropping w/o a warrant, a VP who mandated CIA not talk to Congress.... the list is so long, Dean has it right in "Worse Than Watergate"!!!!!!!!!!!!!
