    fta:
According to the CDC, certain types of MRSA infections kill 18,000 Americans a year - more than die from AIDS.

    fta:
MRSA is so common in the United Sates that it accounts for more than half of all soft-tissue and skin infections in ER's. The CDC estimates that invasive MRSA infections (those that entered the bloodstream) number more than 94,000 a year.

    fta:
The numbers are high and rising: From 1996 to 2005, MRSA-related hospitalizations increased nearly tenfold.

my sis has mrsa. It's horrible! She's been blasted with the biggest, badest anti-biotics around. Her lesions are clearing up somewhat.

fta: ...you can pick up MRSA and not show symptoms for years. Meanwhile, you can pass it to others by something as simple as sharing a towel.
A person can be a CARRIER to others while they are not even aware that THEY have it?? Yea Gods!
And the federal government does not collect data on the outbreaks? Nice! Plus Bush's CDC "acknowledged the presence of MRSA in meat but downplayed the danger".
Truthfully, I am seldom attracted to Health articles but
I just read an article about Food Safety (or lack thereof)
and I was interested in this title. I may not LOOK for
Health articles but I am not stupid and I do watch the news.
This is SHOCKING...........how could it not be in the news?

You know, CNN has a couple of "medical correspondents", Sanjay Gupta and Elizabeth Cohen, and MSNBC has just added a Doctor Amy(?) segment. Not a peep. What kind of info is that? Just keep the masses calm and quiet?
Can we get MRSA if we listen to their BS? I wonder.
