I posted an almost identical story here from The Independent, about 6 weeks ago, but its a story that should be repeated and taken in.

Of course there is no recourse to be obtained for anyone, nor seemingly a responsible party left alive.
Unfortunately Jimi's lifestyle at the time was so over-the-top that no red lights flashed at the time.
I don't remember any compelling suggestion being made at the time that it was other than an accident or a misadventure.
The inquest returned an open verdict. -

In the UK ,there has been a small body of people, who have suggested foul play ever since Jimi's demise.I always put it down to conspiracy theorists, women who had bedded him and were now trying to cash in and the lunatic fringe.Maybe there is some genuine questions about his death after all.As "Gamahuche" says "his lifestyle was so wild and over the top, that most folk never questioned what was recorded,at the time"

It didn't say he was a threat, it said that he was threatening to get a new manager and the manager took out an insurance policy telling a friend that Hendrix was worth more dead than alive. Sounds like he was wasted to begin with and they kept pouring more wine mixed with sleeping pills down his throat until it stopped going down. It does sound a bit fishy.

I always thought Jimi died from overindulgence. However,in London this story has been bubbling along, for as long as I can remember.I still think he probably OD,d,but there has been people that were close to him, voicing doubts. As these include the doctor, who tried to revive him,I thought it was at least worthy of reflection.
