Americans Are Beginning to Understand the Left »
Posted By RTHTGakaRoland 5 months, 2 weeks ago in Political OpinionThere is only one good thing about the Obama administration's attempts to nationalize most health care and to begin to control Americans' energy consumption through cap-and-trade: clarity about the left. These attempts are enabling more and more Americans to understand the thinking and therefore the danger of the left.
The left has its first president -- with the possible exception of Franklin Delano Roosevelt -- and for the first time controls the Democratic Party and both houses of Congress.
America's only hope of staying American rather than becoming European lies in making these principles as clear as possible to as many Americans as possible. The left is so giddy with power right now, we actually have a chance.

it's called blow back. there's always unintended consequences to running policies that run in contrast to the people they are pretending to represent. many Republicans woke up our of their slumbers after 8 years of a bush/cheney junta. We scratched our heads and wondered what the heck the GOP was supposed to stand for.

That is why congress is suddenly filled with "born-again fiscal conservatives." but where were these conservatives before? I'll tell you where they were. they were busy pretending they were team players in some arbitrary team that had to stand up for the executive branch no matter what.
so let's see how long it takes the Democrats to wake up. After all, everything that they spent the last 8 years complaining about will continue. After the policies stay the same about continuing the war of terrorism, the erosion of the Constitution, corporation immunity, warrantless spying, indefinate detention, bankster bailouts, and so on and so forth -- then just as many on the left will wake up as those on the right.
unfortunately, townhall doesn't seem to be the greatest mouthpiece to portray this information, as most of their editors were busy being pro rank-and-file; which was the very epitome of the problem in the first place. so i have to wonder how many people there even "began to understand" the attrocities of the bush/cheney administration. -

For the last 8 years we have seen repugs make the rich richer. We understand that the right wing has one principle, make the rich richer.

Whatever the issue, behind the scenes, this is the goal. For the last 8 years, the message has been trust the rich, some money will trickel down.
How'd that work out for you, right wing nut trailer trash? Now, they want to keep the insurance monopoly run health care in the hands of billionaires.
The right wing ignorant thugs want to reject the health care for out of work autoworkers, out of work managers, middle class and working class workers, because they are brainwashed by faux noise and AM oxycotton radio.
The trailer trash think by brown nosing the rich, giving the rich everything, they'll get something in return.
How stupid do you have to be and still remember to breath. For a prime example, study the scum voting for Caribu Barbie to fix the economy. -

another stupid blog piece claiming to be forthright analysis.

how does everyone forget just six months ago when Bush allocated much of the money being given out today?
and corporate socialism has been here for decades. just ask the oil industry. they get $20 billion a year in subsidies.
a better idea for the right: instead of just panning everything Obama, why not come up with some ideas and plans of your own? and try to make it an idea that can help the masses, as opposed to just lining your friends pockets like most GOP plans entail.
but this is just more shoddy analysis and fuzzy math from the right.-

OK, here are two ideas:

Health insurance companies sell in any state (ahh competition), and all medical costs, including insurance costs, can be taken off our income tax.
Social security is grossly unfair. It is based on a percentage, therefore those who make more get more. The medicare insurance charge is the same no matter what your check amount.
This may be difficult for some of you to understand - but here goes:
The increase in social security is based on a percentage - so
Add together all of the amount sent to social security recipients.
Divide that dollar amount by the number of recipients.
Send everyone the same dollar amount.
Fairer, and the computer costs would be drastically reduced.

I take exception to Point Four about the left. The claim by the author is that the left claims to be morally superior. Yet, it is the right who are the staunch "right to lifers." What they fail to mention is that they right to life ends at birth. Once born, they care little about feeding the poor, educating the illiterate, increasing opportunities for the least among us, and defending liberty.

If the righties wanted to show true conservatism, they would keep their pretentious noses out of our relationships, our homes, and our bedrooms. Why is it that the right pulls out ludicrous smear stories about the left, and then turns around and slams us with things like the Defense of Marriage Act, DADT, and ENDA. Bush was supposed to be for "compassionate conservativism," but really stood for nothing. -

It is sort of hard to be the type of liberal that I believe in, I was going to blame the conservatives for this but it is more human nature that I have to blame. It seems that anyone who runs for politics has a bad habit of making promises that involve spending money and setting up new departments, and the whole picture has moved so far to the left that my style of liberals are now to the right of most conservatives.

I'm sort of a fan of JFK and when I think of the speech that he gave asking people not what the country could do for them but what they could do for the country, it just makes me wonder about most poiticians today, it doesn't matter who gets in, there is a group of people expecting the country to favor them and at times it is large business and other times it is labor unions, and alot of the time it is not what they are willing to contribute to society but what society is going to contribute to them.
Some of these people who write these articles should look in the mirror and also question things before they go putting the blame on just one party.-

In a nutshell, there are the ultra left liberals progressives who want and intend to rule the rest of us. They're in it for power and position. Then there are the useful idiot liberals who think they're going to get something for nothing.
