Are We Better Off Without a Single, Cronkite-type News Figure Today?
We post today's question in the headline above. For all the deserving praise that has come for the late Walter Cronkite and his "most trusted newsman" status, another issue lingers: Are we actually much better off, as news consumers today, without a single figure (or handful of them) as our major news source? Is it best to have today's multitude of online sources, trustworthy or not?
