You might find some links in this. the book is "False Profits" by Peter Truell and Larry Gurwin, 1992, Houghton-Mifflin. Following the money.

the great detail about this is john kerry's role. he knew, long ago, about the massive criminal activity in Every giant bank, yet did his best to protect them in the ensuing years, just like every other criminal in the senate.
