Magic Hat has become very popular here. I'm not familiar with Czech beer, but I like a lager rather than a hoppy brew such as a strong ale. All three of my kids brew their own beer, and all three tease me about the fact that I cry "bitter" too soon for their tastes. As for Burlington, if that's where you had your Magic Hat, it's very beautiful, and yes, there are some very good micro-breweries here in the US. Cheers, gama!

I lived in and around Montpelier for several years, after escaping from NYC during a rather bad period for that fascinating city.. Crack madness and yuppie madness which somehow contrived to "co-exist" in trumps on the block where I lived..

I LOVED VT! Sometimes wondered exactly why I left.. But the need to return to my de-Communised homeland was also strong - and though I tried to satisfy that in small increments the increments grew longer and became permanent. Except that now it is becoming plausible that I may need to move on again. I hope not!!
