I’m going to tiptoe in this thread and ask a few things.

Before I do I want to make it clear that domestic abuse (DA) is something I’ve seen first hand and I find it to be one of the most abhorrent things there is. So if I offend anyone I want to apologize up front. I just have some questions that this story posed.
However:
We want to grant Political Asylum for DA? I mean, how many millions of women around the planet are domestically abused?
I’d think it would be very possible for the entire female population of some countries around the world to make the claim of DA from seeing how they are treated.
It wouldn’t be remotely feasible to look into all the claims let alone grant them all Political Asylum would it?
Now if the women are already here, and they are illegal and they are set to be deported; I think that the DA argument would be a valid thing. We would be culpable for any harm done to them if we sent them back to certain abuse once they are already here in my opinion.
I can’t figure out if this is just a feel good policy or not.-

Theoretically, yes.
However, of all those women, how many have the money to make the trip here?
How many have a skill which would allow them to make a living once they are here?
How many would be willing to leave their children to come here?
How many would be sure that their husbands wouldn't follow them here to kill them? Really, do you have any idea how many American women stay in their abusive situations because of this fear?
I think you'd find that the number of foreign women coming here for the asylum would be quite small. :-) -

I agree with slate. My problem is why is it our problem to solve and not the countries of origin. If a woman in England is a victim of DA I see no reason for that person to be granted asylum. The people there take a very dim view of it. On the other hand, someone from a country where it is the right of the man to do that I agree that asylum should be granted. It should not be a blanket reason.

I think it mainly applies to women, who are in the States, but are illegals. If by going back to their nation of origin, with a spouse and/or other abusive family members, they will suffer domestic abuse, then political asylum will be considered.

Oboma is a bold face liar! He himself is abusing women and the US has no grounds but to admit that it abuses women using a currency and not obeying it's own laws! Any president, and members of congress shall know what the words shall not means...and it stands...abrogation of the laws are what the definition is...and also...moral turpitude is just what the definition says it is.
