Americans are beginning to sour on his economic policies. A USA Today/Gallup poll last week said that by 49 percent to 47 percent, those surveyed disapprove of how he is handling the economy, a turnaround from his 55 percent to 42 percent approval in May.
The poll said the biggest drop came from conservative and moderate Democrats.
Fifty-nine percent said his proposals called for too much government spending, the poll found.-

I often wonder ... if Americans are so adamant about too much Government Spending ... ... ... why don't they complain about the BIGGEST Rat Hole of spending ... .... .... the Military Industrial Complex.
Reply
For instance .... OUR Government Spending on the Military Industrial Complex .... is nearly equal .... to ALL OTHER NATION'S spending on the ENTIRE WORLD'S Military Industrial Complex.
Very Peculiar ... and very bizarre.

Most Americans hope so ... as the ONLY industrial nation without a solution to this vexing problem ... our businesses .... large and small .... are at a competitive disadvantage in the Global Marketplace.

Looks to rebound? He's been crashing and burning a lot longer than that. This Gates affair was a good example. Without knowing the whole story, he assumes the cops are bad and Professor Gates is right. Gates clearly had an agenda. What that was will eventually be figured out. I suspect he's looking to pedal another race bating book on evil whitey or how the white male even now keeps him down. A Harvard professor and he's still pushing race as the only factor to judge a person on. When will all sides finally stop.

As to health care, I'm sooooo tired of hearing how this is the fault of the GOP. He's got enough Dems in the House and Senate so why aren't they passing his death care plan? Could it be people actually printed all 1018 pages of what was passes and they realized it's a scam? Could it be the "End of Life" program for seniors isn't what they wanted? Soylent Green anyone?
We're in a huge recession that Obama's team is pushing into a great depression. The American people are not the left wing cattle many in the DNC think they are. They did fall for the bull, Hope & Change. That's a great line, the only problem, the GOP is going to use it to sink the Obamanation. He won't be the African American in office, but he may be the last Dem for a long time. I can see the ads. It's heartland America. The sun is rising and a voice comes out, Hope & Change, are you really better off than you were 4 or 6 years ago... Jimmy Carter Obama. Better have your resume up to date, you'll need it in 1273 days, 4 hours, 25 minutes. But whose counting...-

My dad fought in WW2 ... when he came back ... he told me many stories ... and you remind me of some of them.
Reply
For instance ... there were a clutch of guys who were good ole southern boys ... who HATED FDR ...
Several of them said outright that they should be fighting FDR ... NOT Hitler ...
There will ALWAYS be people like you in our nation ... people for whom our country can NEVER be Right Wing enough ....
Ironically .... if we actually LIVED in a country YOU ENVISION ... it's quite possible you wouldn't have the freedoms to spew your hatred for our President that you seem to spew through some genetic imperative.

Obama tried to rebound on TV last week and ended up getting in the middle of a racial issue and taking sides without the facts.

His poles went down again as a result.
That's what happens when he talks without a teleprompter.
He is an idiot.-

Following an idiot.

Makes you wonder about exactly about the who, what, and why of our political system.
"That's what happens when he talks without a teleprompter."
Just add an s to he in your statement and you have good advice for the former Alaskan governor also. The irony here is that if that is an important benchmark in your judgment of presidents and presidential candidates, the only one worth their salt in the last 50 years was Clinton. He was branded slick (not in a good way) because he had this skill. So, do you want someone who can only talk with a prompt or not? -

Obama made the 'mistake' of answering a reporter's question honestly.
The Right Wing Controlled Mainstream Media used that one comment to DIVERT America's attention AWAY from the Health Care Reform issue ... which was the purpose of the Press Briefing.
Thanks for admitting that Mainstream Media is controlled by the Right.
And hasn't that what I've always been saying?

I don't think he's an idiot, I think he's simply way over his head. His whole claim to fame was being a community organizer. They attacked Palin because she had the Alaska/Russia gaff but besides his being illegitimate at birth, what international treaties or policies did he craft prior to being president? What bills did he submit while in the Senate? Even when he was an editor, where are his editorials?
Reply
He's a wannabee professor preaching the standard whitey kept me down classes. Why else would he go to Wright's church or support Professor Gates? Russia, Iran, Syria, and North Korea will continue to test us especially when Obama can't get his own health bill through a congress firmly in control of his own party. It's Jimmy Carter all over again.

Prepare for another round in 2010 where your brainless ideology will be so further marginalized that you will have to find a new party to swoon over because the Repubs will be dead and buried!

Actually, I think it's going to be a landslid for the GOP. Simply put, were you better off 24 months ago than you are now? I think you will see a vast sea of red overtake the House and Senate. My states, Kohl and Finegold clearly are concerned.

I'm sitting in MKE international section of the airport. My flight has been delayed again. If why or how I'm hanging out here this morning. Wireless here works pretty well compared to Atlanta and they've loaned us extension cords.

As republi-can'ts rave on about Obama being bad, our leading indicator of how the economy is doing (dow jones) has risen from the george Bush 6K-7k level to over 9k. Lest you remember that goergie Porgie inherited a market at 15k. So you want another republican president? How broke are you willing to be just to win a contest. How many burnt dead bodies would you like to see? Obama won the election because even a percentage of republicans figured out their own party has betrayed "we the people" in favor of ho chi min. Yes republicans are building sweat shops in veit nam making the upper class who supported the veit cong very rich indeed. So now tell me how jane was the traitor while the enemy is making busness deals with cheney. lol Thank god that a small percentage of republicans finally. get it

You're seeing an increase in some markets because of the push now to sell cars. You're spending over a billion in cash to slow the job loses of UAW members. When the market is flooded and the tax money is gone, who will be buying cars? It's a very short term bump. You're seeing the market reactions of the day traders. The same guys that gave you the Dot Com bust.

We're still seeing unemployment rise. The few projects created are in the power generation specifically wind, rail and road building. None are creating new profitable jobs, they're government handout jobs. When the projects are over, so are the jobs. The wind will add some skilled positions but they're mainly service staff. Wind eats up huge profit margins and will drive up energy costs drastically. Without huge tax bailouts, wind should not be done. The rail is perhaps the most restrictive. We're going to have rail systems that cannot sustain themselves that will cost taxpayers billions to run. It's not the type of spending we should be doing in a depression. The haves will pull out of the US markets and the have-nots will still be looking for the handouts. That's why in 2008 the rich were folks with $1Milllion, then $1/2 million, $250K, and when they're done it will be joint filers with $125K. For a party claiming to be progressive, it certainly looks regressive to me.
