There is one major saving grace here and that's quality. China can build some interesting things but their government can't solve the quality issues. They might be able to copy but they will not create anything new for some time. Then again, with them owning much of our debt, all they need to do is foreclose. Wonder how Obama explains that one. I suppose he falls back to old reliable. Blame the GOP...

I would never quote anything Carter tells you. He's been to nations like North Korea, Venezuela and likes the PLO. He sees nothing wrong with corrupt elections. He's an old man who is still bitter the American people fired in in 1980. He was a bad governor, a terrible president and an even worse ex-president. The only good thing we can finally say, if President Obama continues on the path of destruction he appears to be on, Jimmy Carter is no longer the worst President ever.

We've been forced to move a lot of stuff over there because there simply is no way to hit clean air standards here in the USA. They have the workers, the factories and the energy. We have the laws, regulations and unions to deal with. Until you get American's to stop buying on price alone, you will never break the cycle. Take cloths. My shoes, suits, shirts, and just about everything else is made in the USA. Laptop and even my TV. Most people here cannot say that. I'm not saying the US stuff is better or cheaper. It certainly more costly. But I try, when possible to help the American out. And as mentioned before, I have had to farm some items to China. Again, we have to make a profit. If I farm out the foundry work to China but keep the machining and assembly here, I've save jobs while maintaining quality and profits. I hope this makes sense.

BINGO!!!! I agree with you 100%. Why have we supported this communist nation so long that now they have the upper hand? I am talking of both sides. DEMS and REPS. Clintons were some of the biggest supports of China. Dionys I see this exactly like you do.
