Hooray! And Kudos to South Carolina's Lindsey Graham for being an honest fellow instead of a loathsome slackjawed hack like the rest of his racist companions. A great day for ALL America. (Bigoted thugs, maybe not so much...but what are you doing in this country anyway? Why not find some homogeneous fascist place to stink up?) Get in the ol' Wayback machine and visit the good ol' days in the 1930s in say, certain European nations with similar ideas...I heard they made the trains run on time.

Not to be *too* cynical but he has reason to be confident he can gamble. He's not up for re-election for 6 years and even though he gets accused of being a RINO (mostly because of compromises he's made with Dems on fiscal matters in the past), he has a lot going for him where the right is concerned. He's a social conservative's dream, he was a big McCain and Bush supporter, he served in the military and he's a reliable war cheerleader.

I'm just surprised that after all of his yakking and squawking, Jeff Sessions is not going to vote for her. I had this silly fantasy that he might at least *try* to redeem himself for his past racist remarks. Oh well...

The thing that I can never quite understand is why not bet on the horse that's going to win?!
That way you become a stakeholder in the person - and it even gives you a STRONGER position to chalenge from should a challenge become necessary.
Backing losers is a mugs game - just as is opposing obvious winners.
They're the people who make Honest Joe the bookie rub his hands in glee - and make everyone else think what mugs they are!

Everyone knew it was going to happen. And everyone knew the Republicans would almost vote unanimously to defeat her nomination. Let's see if she can fill the shoes of our great Supreme Justices of the past. I hope she does well and wish her the best of luck. Boriqua.

Imagine if Obama actually picked a tree hugging liberal like me for the bench. lol This is a pretty moderate woman and they still vote against her. The reality Is if Obama had chosen Jesus For the bench, republicans would call him a commie. Oh the sad life of the neo conservatives. Why do they call republicans, conservative? they conserve nothing. They don't want to conserve resources. They have not conserved the economy. oh by the way.
