Obama-Haters Becoming Increasingly...Racial In Their Rhetoric »

An interesting pattern has emerged in the last few weeks, as President Obama's ratings have started to come down to Earth: You can really see a type of Obama-hatred out there that really does cross over into a purely racial territory.

This has gotten especially worse in the aftermath of Obama's comments and subsequent mea culpa on the Henry Louis Gates arrest, but the pattern has been there all the same. You can look back to the 2008 campaign, with the Jeremiah Wright controversies, the phony rumors of a tape of Michelle Obama defaming whites, and the slow but steady emergence of the Birthers. And these days, the Birthers seem to be getting more and more bellicose.

Racism is MOST DEFINITELY a part of the equation here in the hills of Northwest Arkansas. Wal-Mart's headquarters is here....Tyson's too. And JB Hunt....amng others. I work in the most Republican area of this state, and have come to realize that many of the racists that opposed the integration of Little Rock's Central High in 1957 uprooted their families and moved away...many to my area of the state. Now many would deny their racism to your face, just as many here on propeller do, but it's there....

And one more thing....before you you nutcases start negging me.... NO, I'm NOT saying all Republicans are racists.... not at all. But to deny that racists are a part of your party in 2009 is to deny a bold glaring reality. And spare me the lectures about Robert Byrd and the Klan (an issue for which he has shown acceptable repentance, in my view)...or Abraham Lincoln....or how the Republicans from the north helped push through the Civil Rights Act despite resistance from southern Democrats. I know all that. And it is NOT RELEVANT to the state of the GOP in 2009....except to point out that many racists went to the Republican Party before LBJ's ink was even dry on the paper. I know this. ...and you do too.

You know America still has a race problem when shows like Limbaugh, Beck and Dobbs are so popular among Republicans and third party devotees.

Obama keeps the race card handy for when things get sticky.

He did it all through the campaign trail and he did it last Wednesday in order to deflect from his problems with getting a Health Care bill passed.

And if you don't think his response to the question was a calculated move to add something else to the news cycles, you are too naive to be discussing politics.

There will always be people that are radical and full of hate.
But most of the people in our country have moved past all that. Lets not let a few sick minded ones ruin it for our kids and there kids.
If we teach our children one thing that will help them make it in this world.
Treat others like you want to be treated.

I look at it this way, we are all Gods children, red yellow black and white. Why did so many vote for him? was it because they thought he could do the job or just so they could say that they saw Histoy go down in our Histoy books? I voted for Him not for the color of his skin or to say I lived to see the frist Black man to make President, I did it because I felt he was the one who could take us out of this mess we are in, but it seems congress and Senotors all have a little Racial in them, we may have enough democrates in the house and all but they dont want to work and agree with him, and they would have passed bills if it had been a Republican like Bush, and now they have to work a little harder and their not used to working because when Bush was in office he did not have that mush for them to work on.

Well, and the police department agrees, and so does the police union after reviewing the incident.

Bill Cosby was "shocked" by Obama's ignorant accusation.

Juan Williams agreed:"I think it's disappointing that he waded into a local issue...and as {Obama} admitted, he didn't know the facts."

Obama attended a church that was filled with hatred toward whites. That raises a few flags.
Here are just a few of the comments..

          Controversy Abounds

Several prior remarks by Obama's pastor have caught the media's attention:

Wright on 9/11: "White America got their wake-up call after 9/11. White America and the Western world came to realize people of color had not gone away, faded in the woodwork, or just disappeared as the Great White West kept on its merry way of ignoring black concerns." On the Sunday after the attacks, Dr. Wright blamed America.

Wright on the disappearance of Natalee Holloway: "Black women are being raped daily in Africa. One white girl from Alabama gets drunk at a graduation trip to Aruba, goes off and gives it up while in a foreign country and that stays in the news for months."

Wright on Israel: "The Israelis have illegally occupied Palestinian territories for over 40 years now. Divestment has now hit the table again as a strategy to wake the business community and wake up Americans concerning the injustice and the racism under which the Palestinians have lived because of Zionism."

Wright on America: He has used the term "middleclassness" in a derogatory manner; frequently mentions "white arrogance" and the "oppression" of African-Americans today; and has referred to "this racist United States of America."

One can find anything if one is disposed to.

"the pattern has been there all the same. You can look back to the 2008 campaign, with the Jeremiah Wright controversies,"

What does this mean? Was there a problem with the Wright "controversies"?

Remember this interview? Obama is not very forthcoming..
OBAMA: And as I said, Anderson, if I had heard any of these statements, I probably would have walked out, and I probably would have told Reverend Wright that they were wrong. Uh, but they were not statements that I heard when I was in church.

COOPER: So no one in the church ever said to you, "Man, last week you missed this sermon. Reverend Wright said this," or --

          OBAMA: No.

COOPER: I mean, I think I read in your book that you used to listen to tapes of Reverend Wright when you were in Harvard Law School.

          OBAMA: I did. I understand.

COOPER: So you had no idea?

          OBAMA: I did not.

I think it is a good bit more than taking Rev Wrights' quotes out of context. In the end, Obama ran as fast as he could to get away for this church. And with good reason.

Trinity United Church of Christ. Reverend J. Wright "advocated a redistribution of wealth that went beyond socialism. The congregation was required to embrace 'economic parity' and disavow the pursuit of 'middleclassness.'" This, folks, is the church that was instrumental in bringing Barack Obama to Christ. This was the church advocating radical wealth redistribution, "economic parity." Everybody has an equal amount of stuff regardless who earns it.

Sounds like Obama heard that part of Wrights' message...

On June 9, 2009, in an interview with the Daily Press of Newport News, Wright indicated that he hadn't had contact with Obama up to that point because "Them Jews aren't going to let him talk to me. I told my baby daughter, that he'll talk to me in five years when he's a lame duck, or in eight years when he's out of office." Wright also suggested that Obama did not send a delegation to the Durban Review Conference in Geneva, a conference "that had devolved into an anti-Jewish free-for-all" according to the Jewish Telegraphic Agency,[33] because of Jewish pressure saying: "[T]he Jewish vote, the A-I-P-A-C vote, that’s controlling him, that would not let him send representation to the Darfur Review Conference, that’s talking this craziness on this trip, cause they’re Zionists, they would not let him talk to someone who calls a spade what it is."[7] Writing for The Atlantic, Ta-Nehisi Coates characterized Wright's remarks as "crude conspiratorial antisemitism."[34] On June 11, 2009, Wright amended his remarks during an interview with Mark Thompson on his radio program, Make it Plain. “Let me say like Hillary, I misspoke. Let me just say: Zionists... I’m not talking about all Jews, all people of the Jewish faith, I’m talking about Zionists."[35]

in terms of race, this Gates thing is nothing compared to the birther movement, which is rooted in racism.

IMO we've come a long way in race relations (aside from the birthers, who should get back in thier time machines and return to the year 1837 where they belong).

20 years ago it was about the LA sherriffs brutally beating a black man for no reason and someone caught it on tape, but the cops still got away with it despite all of the ovewhelming evidence.

today its about a rich black man who is a friend of our half-black president acting with the indignance of a rich white man for being wrongfully arrested. no one got beaten. no disturbing video tape to anger a nation.

              so, things are getting better.

When a group comprises about 11% of the population yet is responsible for about 70% of crimes committed in the country, I don't consider it racist if I don't have a warm, fuzzy feeling about them. And don't give me any crap about stereotyping. If it walks like a duck, etc, etc! When they, as a race, clean up their act maybe I'll have a change of heart. Until then radlibs should put a lid on who they're labeling 'racist'.

                You’re (Probably) a Federal Criminal

                Brian Walsh

                July 24, 2009

With all the attention that’s been paid lately to long federal sentences for drug offenders, it’s surprising that a far more troubling phenomenon has barely hit the media’s radar screen. Every year, thousands of upstanding, responsible Americans run afoul of some incomprehensible federal law or regulation and end up serving time in federal prison.

What is especially disturbing is that it could happen to anyone at all — and it has.

We should applaud Reps. Bobby Scott (D-Va.) and Louie Gohmert (R-Texas), then, for holding a bipartisan hearing today to examine how federal law can make a criminal out of anyone, for even the most mundane conduct............

Texas Cop Tasers 72-year-old Great Grandmother

                    David Edwards
                    The Raw Story
                    June 9, 2009

The police claim that after Kathryn Winkfein was stopped for driving 15 miles over the speed limit in a construction zone, she disobeyed an order to sign the speeding ticker, used profane language, and became “violent.” They say the officer who taserer her and took her to be booked for resisting arrest was completely justified.

However, Winkfein says that’s a lie, and the video appears to back her up.

It shows Constable Richard McCain screaming, “Get over here now!” Winkfein replies, “Give [the ticket] to me and I’ll sign it.” Instead, the officer reaches out and pushes her, and she starts complaining, “Oh, you’re going to shove me? You’re going to shove a seventy-two year old woman?”

McCain then tasers her. As Winkfein lies on the ground screaming, he orders, “Now put your hands behind your back. Put your hands behind your back or you’re going to be tasered again.”
