Perhaps there is nothing telling more about a nation than its jails and the conditions under which the prisoners live. I saw features on TV about Russian jails, and I was quite shocked. What this article describes, isn´t so much better at all! Even only a few days without the hygienic basics and in a cold and unhealthy surrounding are a kind of punishment, especially, if the arrested person isn´t guilty of the crime he or she is accused to have committed. Human rights are also valid for detainees!
