In July of 2008 the Congress passed and the President signed into law the new Post 9/11 GI Bill. This legislation, which goes into effect on August 1, 2009, is an important step in honoring those military personnel who have served this nation since that tragic attack. This Bill has new and significantly expanded benefits not provided under the previous GI Bill.

Unfortunately, in typical government fashion it is not always easy to figure out who qualifies for what under the new Bill or how to apply for its benefits. But there is help.
