"The survey was held by the Panels Institute among 516 respondents that are a representative sample of the adult Jewish population."

The "temple," which has lain in rubble for nearly two millenia, is the site of the Dome of the Rock and the Al-Aqsa Mosque, which have stood at the site for over a thousand years and which are among the most revered sites in the Muslim world. Sure there are plenty of Israelis who would want to see the islamic holy sites destroyed to recreate their "temple" which was levelled by the Romans in 70 AD and has not been rebuilt since.
So, the headline could more accurately read "Israeli Jews Want Historic Islamic Holy Sites Destroyed."-

You may not know it, Natureboy, but according to the Bible the Temple is supposed to be rebuilt by the act of God Himself. If God will decide to destroy the Islamic Holy sites to make the room for the Temple he will do it, plain and simple.
I doubt, however, that God will start this project during our lifetime. As a matter of fact I hope very much that rebuilding the Temple is not on His urgent priorities list.
