Bombshell: Bin Laden worked for US till 9/11 »
Posted By dissent 4 months ago in NewsFormer FBI translator Sibel Edmonds dropped a bombshell on the Mike Malloy radio show, guest-hosted by Brad Friedman (audio, partial transcript).
In the interview, Sibel says that the US maintained 'intimate relations' with Bin Laden, and the Taliban, "all the way until that day of September 11."
These 'intimate relations' included using Bin Laden for 'operations' in Central Asia, including Xinjiang, China. These 'operations' involved using al Qaeda and the Taliban in the same manner "as we did during the Afghan and Soviet conflict," that is, fighting 'enemies' via proxies.

Oh sure, that makes sense. And the DNC is actively conspiring with Al Qaeda, Mel Gibson was framed by a Zionist cabal, and Bill Clinton is actually a latent homosexual.

There are plenty of good arguments to make without bringing in the vast conspiracy of little green men on the grassy knoll. And besides, anyone who has worked in government will tell you, the government isn't competent enough to pull off a decent conspiracy.
Stupid. Reading Daily Kos is like watching an episode of The View. Cackling and clucking like chickens with their heads cut off. Sick.-

Sibel Deniz Edmonds (born 1970) is a Turkish-American former FBI translator and founder of the National Security Whistleblowers Coalition (NSWBC). Edmonds was fired from her position as a language specialist at the FBI's Washington Field Office in March, 2002, after she accused a colleague of covering up illicit activity involving foreign nationals, alleging serious acts of security breaches, cover-ups, and intentional blocking of intelligence which, she contended, presented a danger to the United States' security. Since that time, court proceedings on her whistleblower claims have been blocked by the assertion of State Secrets Privilege. On March 29, 2006, she was awarded the PEN/Newman's Own First Amendment Award in recognition of her defense of free speech as it applies to the written word.

btw... about your comment about working for the government to know how the government works?
Reply
if you'd read the article you'd know that sibel edmonds worked for the government so she knows how the government works and that's what she's talking about... how the government works.
and to a troll like you that means little green men on the grassy knoll. figures -

This website had language filters for a reason.
so like I said before... and building #7 fell straight down from a fire on two floors right? that discredits anyone who thinks 9/11 was non-conspiracy. Buildings do not fall down from fires especially only on two floors... AND it fell in less than 60 minutes. Are you kidding me? Don;t be so closed minded... look at the facts. -

FTA: "It is important to understand why: the US outsourced terror operations to al Qaeda and the Taliban for many years, promoting the Islamization of Central Asia in an attempt to personally profit off military sales as well as oil and gas concessions."
Reply
What genius surmised an 'Islamicsized' Central Asia would be freindlier to American military sales and oil and gas pursuits?
That is a leap to say the least!-

your extract is the 2nd last par. the article ahead of it points out chechnya, which we've seen, and xinjiang, which we only just recently saw and may see again. "islamicization" has and is proving difficult, to say the least, for both russia and china, both of whom neighbor the caspian and have far easier access to its resources. the same resources we are now encircling and attempting to control. take a look at a map if you have trouble following and see just where the caspian is and how our current military adventures pivot around it
Reply
this is the very last par following your quote...
The silence by the US government on these matters is deafening. So, too, is the blowback.
it indicates that it probably wasn't anticipated it would be a problem for us. but then again, from iran 1953, 1979 and today, to vietnam, to iraq.... it never is, is it?
no leap required

to think we weren't funding. training and arming factions to fight the Russians in Afganistan.. would be naive.. and to thing the Russians are not now using the same people in the same manner to stick it to the US.. is also naive. ..

Maybe Osama Bin Laden has B. Hussein Obama's missing birth certificate? That might explain Obama's reluctance to even use the term "war on terror"...no sense trying too hard to catch the guy that might blow the lid on The One having been born in Kenya rather than Hawaii.

I'm not sure why this is labeled a "bombshell" considering it's been common knowledge that the US trained and bankrolled bin Laden and his band of terrorists for decades to drive the Russians from the region. When they won that battle, does anyone really believe we (the United States) would have just walked away from that fighting force? The bin Laden family has very close ties to the Bush family and were actually guests of his in Texas on 9/11...do people really think that was a coincidence? Why do any of you naysayers think Bush abandoned the quest for bin Laden so quickly, and diverted his "freedom fight" to Iraq instead? You would think that if he weren't in bed with bin Laden, he would want to bring him to justice instead of some guy who never even threatened us..let alone fly a bunch of planes into buildings.

It's really about time Americans start using their critical thinking skills for something other than birth certificates. There is nothing about this story that really should surprise anyone. -

didn't know it was all the way up until 911 but the fact that bin Laden was on the CIA payroll is common knowledge (except if your alanocu of course, who dwells in a strange upside-down netherwold somehwhere between fantasy and batsh*t crazy).
Reply
most people also don't know that george bush sr. and bin Laden's brother were sitting in the same room during 911 watching it all unfold together. they were at a carlyle group meeting.-

but doing what for that pay has remained much of a mystery. this article, and its source, sibel edmonds who is likely to know, sheds light on that. for example:
fta
These 'intimate relations' included using Bin Laden for 'operations' in Central Asia, including Xinjiang, China.
and
Of course, Sibel isn't the first or only person to recognize any of this. Eric Margolis, one of the best reporters in the West on matters of Central Asia, stated that the Uighurs in the training camps in Afghanistan up to 2001:
"were being trained by Bin Laden to go and fight the communist Chinese in Xinjiang, and this was not only with the knowledge, but with the support of the CIA, because they thought they might use them if war ever broke out with China."
now what did we just see just two weeks ago in xinjiang?.... could be a connection there, ya think?
i had said at the time that there was likely to be a cia connection due to our enormous presence in the region aka afghanistan and the rest of the stans that border xinjiang, our waning influence on china's eastern seaboard due to taiwan steeped in corruption charges against our puppet, its former leader, xinjiang's proximity to the oil-drenched caspian basin and, of course, our drooling interest in all that black ooze that we can barely contain ourselves and we're prepared to slug it out with barefooted bandits for years on end going absolutely nowhere.
what we saw instead though from our mainstream media was a lot of simple-minded, intellectually-challenged spin throwing its momentum, from both the left and the right, behind the uighur separatists. no surprises there, it is "big bad china" after all. who knows? maybe our cia could get another color revolution happening in that neck of the woods too.
so nobody asked or asks any questions, nobody joins any of the obvious dots and are more than happy to be led around by the rings in their noses.... as always. instead, the point that will be made is "oh, absolutely everybody knows bin laden worked for the cia... " ho hum, back to twiddling thumbs and it's lights out, goodnight, thank you for coming. nobody says, "bin laden worked for the cia..... doing what?"
so.... now we have some insight into perhaps only a part of the answer to that question.
we learn that the "freedom-loving" uighurs are cia-trained... and trained at that by the world's #1 terrorist bin laden himself no less
but hey, yawn... that's no bombshell, so some here say while they wait for the next spoonful to be fed to them so they can then move on and ask the obvious questions.
but until then folks it's lights out, goodnight, thank you for coming, hope you enjoyed the show. :|
