Posted By pc25 6 months, 1 week ago in NewsDemocrat Rep. Lloyd Doggett went home to Austin, Texas, and heard from his constituents about the planned government health care takeover.
Message: “Just say no!”
This taxpayer counterinsurgency is exactly what I talked about on the ABC This Week panel earlier today. The long, hot recess is underway. Make yourselves heard. Mark your calendars for the nationwide August 22 Recess Rally. Prepare to be demonized, of course.

Obama faces long hot summer of damaging delay
• Ambitious reform plans, but few victories so far
• Falling polls compound president's problems
A healthcare package in the balance; unfinished business on climate change; a precarious economy and deficit; foreign policy setbacks on Iran and North Korea. Six months into his presidency, and with a holiday in Martha's Vineyard beckoning, Barack Obama might have hoped by now to have notched up a big victory or two in his ambitious agenda for change. The reality looks a little different.-

The Republicans face a very trying time ahead of them explaining why they insist on busing in rabblerousers and disrupting an important part of the democratic process. PC, you expose yourself as one of those rabblerousers by bringing something to this forum from a person like Michelle Malkin, one of the most hateful people in the Republican party today.
Reply
How much does the Health Industry pay you to continually bring a message of fear and hate to the American people? As much as they pay the Blue Dogs and other Republicans? I wish you haters would become more honest with us and with yourselves. You might be able to live with yourselves, then.

I haven't voted for a Republican (other than Ron Paul in last year's primaries) since Reagan's first term. The party has been a disappointment.
Reply
The Democrats are self-destructing and the Republicans could probably win in 2010 if elements within the party stop with the nonsense (such as "birthers"). Let newcomers take over (we can't trust the ones who've been there and betrayed the country) with an oath to stop the spending -- actually reduce it -- including the return of all the unspent money in bailouts (TARP) and stimulus (PORK).
If I don't see this, I'm voting for the Libertarian candidate again. -

These people were bussed in and had scripts!
Reply
The Republican's are modeling their behavior after Hitler's Brwonwshirts, who used to smash up Democratic meetings in late 1920's and early 1930's Germany. The Brownshirts would disrupt and intimidate (and finally use violence.) This creepy method de-stabilized and crippled Democracy allowing Hitler to rise to power there.
And the GOP is basing their strategies EXACTLY ON THE NAZIS!
It's so great you Cons are NOT EVEN TRYING TO HIDE your open fascist goals and actions.
I hope following the methods laid out by Hitler gets you EXACTLY what you deserve...-

crespit - are you talking About ACORN?
Reply
It’s officially called the “Muscle for Money” program within the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) where it was started, and unofficially by the same name among activists of Association of Community Organizers for Reform Now (ACORN).
Hundreds of ACORN members swarmed into the Washington Hilton in 1995, grabbing the microphone and forcing then- House Speaker Newt Gingrich to cancel his planned speech. Two years later, they pushed over a metal detector and prevented Chicago aldermen from leaving a closed session of the City Council.
And a bus full of profanity-chanting ACORN members targeted the private home of then Baltimore Mayor Martin O'Malley, who complained that the protesters badly frightened his wife and children, during their "living wage" campaign.

When the libs used these tactics during the Bush administration they were called "patriots".
Reply
Or maybe this administration has finally found the breaking point of the silent and paying majority and they are finally fighting back. Freedom of speech is for everyone, not just the ones who agree with you.-

Was that the patriots we saw protesting in the "Free Speech Zones"?
Reply
Care to back it up. Can you show any instance where the Democrats bussed in a group just to agitate and disrupt the democratic process? Freedom of speech doesn't mean you have the right to yell someone down at a town hall meeting. That should get you kicked out into the street.

Obama is in a race to oblivion ... It's unbelievable how he could have mis-used his political collateral to the extent he has in such short a time. He has blown it by picking fights with the entire productive side of America.
Reply
He couldn't have accomplished this without the help of Pelosi and Reid. They're the tag team of superb failure ... -

Fifteen percenters, and they act like this thuggery wasn't scriped by dick army.
Reply
Do any of you cons read anything but murdock news?
Dick army organized and funded all these attacks by thugs at town hall meetings, shouting down and chanting and ruining the event, on behalf of the insurance monopolies denying claims so they can reward their CEO of united health care 100 million this year.
The wingers don't even realize who's pulling their puppet strings. They think its baby jesus.
Tell me cons, who whould baby jesus deny health coverage?-

Update for Thursday's Rally for Gov. Corzine with President Obama
Reply
The location of the rally has been moved from Rutgers University in New Brunswick to the PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel. This will not effect our buses. Please be at Camden County Democratic Headquarters in Cherry Hill by 10:30am sharp.
To get on the bus you must have reserved a seat. Everyone who has reserved seats should have received a call from the Corzine campaign staff in Camden County. If you think you are signed up to take the bus but have not received a call please telephone us at 856-424-5757 as soon as possible.

"they have sunken to the level of paying people to create the illusion of importance"
Reply
I lived in the SF bay area for thirteen years and there was a running ad in the San Francisco Comical looking to hire activists/protesters. If you know anything about San Francisco, you know it is very liberal. Can you believe that someone would sink to the level of paying people to create the illusion of importance?
Don't you just hate it when someone takes a play out of your own playbook and uses it against you? Oh the humanity.... -
