have been. Freedomworks (Dick Armey)and others are BUSSING these

Here we have Rabid Right Wingers ... interrupting the very essence of democracy ... Town Hall meetings ... why doesn't America rise up and confront these tactics?
.
They are harming our nation ... and pointing our nation into a very negative direction.

Lets get this straight: there are approximately 20,000,000 illegal immigrants in the US and they obtain medical care largely gratis courtesy your local emergency room. And the democrats say that we have a broken healthcare system? ********. Your health system is being sucked apart.
Reply
THAT is one reason conservatives and bunch of other people are ****** off about your #*$&#$(#^& democratic party- It lies, obfuscates and mislead. -

Right from MSNBC talking points, right to Propeller.
For those interested, CNBC, had an interesting show " Meeting of the minds" I hope they do a series, but that is the type of programing that will lead to a constructive debate, not the talking heads.

For those of you who have seen the movie "Recount" - think
Brad Blakeman passing out costumes - scripts and t-shirts from
a trailer in Florida to PERFORMERS during the 2000 election.
ALL those events were staged to obstruct the public from the
facts, and to form public opinion solely from that old trusty
knee-jerk reaction.-

If they can legally get a hold of your money and invest it so they get a commission, they will leave you homeless, foodless and without hope in the system of their greed.
Reply
Healthcare hell, they are only worried about the money !!!!!
Let me tell ya something about the insurance companies I've dealt with. They fight every claim they can, make ya wait for medical care, in hopes that ya die or just go away. Their loyalty to the customer goes as far as the premiums ya pay. If ya get sick, and need their help well ya better pray they don't have a lawyer citing legal reasons they don't have to cover ya !!!
Now I'm not real big on government run businesses because they end up costing a lot more than they should. On the other hand I don't think medical care should be a for profit business.
Fund ongoing research through the system which should break even.
We should not provide medical care for those who are here illegally, that is up to them to fund. If they can't well, they should not have come here illegally in the first place.
America should take care of her own, not the worlds problems. -

think it would be in our OWN best interests to refuse treatment

Resolve our immigration problems but never turn away the

and liberals hate their country!

Heck: if you look as silly there, as you do here ,

Is there something the rightwing respects about shouting down the questions of a

constituent? It's not a card-carrying society yet, rbiii. The screamers have absolutely
no idea what type of question the real constituents might want to ask THEIR representative.
But why risk it - huh? Just shout anybody down except one of their own gang? Afterall,
they've got their marching orders, their talking points and allowing civil discourse
wasn't on the list. Who would have thought that mob rule and anarchy would appeal
to true CONSERVATIVES?
What kind of group would advance these tactics as constructive? I'll give you a hint,
they are NOT real conservatives and they don't WANT to be constructive - furthest thing
from their mind!

This just a continuation of Limbaugh's "Operation Chaos" tactics. Much like the absolutely sleazy neocon sockpuppets and trolls paid to flood the internet with their excrement and lies, this is just more FOX funded "grassroots" horsesh*t to create the impression that there is some groundswell of opposition. The GOP Congress unleashes disgusting cows like Rep Virginia Foxx onto the House floor to blast her obnoxious methane and intimidate freshman Dems who don't know how slimy right wingers in Washington can be. Rush cultists tried to crap all over our already screwed up election system by switching parties and race baiting in the lead up to last Nov. FOX does an advertising blitz for the teabaggers' travelling circus that was better than Olympics coverage and now the health scare lobbyists are out in force trying to poison Obama's agenda in every conceivable way. And then of course there are the "birthers." OMG. I'll say it again...These people are absolutely filthy.

Wow, the libs really don't like it when their own methods and tactics are used against their agenda, do they?
Reply
This is an example of the ugly double standard. It's ok for the Dems to "organize" and to disrupt hearings (as the way Code Pink has been doing for years, or perhaps the Cindy Sheehans of the world have been doing for years). But, when conservatives do this, LOOK OUT! They are trying to disrupt deomcracy!!!! OH NO!!! Those evil Republicans are wingnuts and teabaggers.
I thought that you guys had thicker skin than this. You follow the Rules for Radicals. You have practiced the Rules for Radicals. What makes you think that you have an exclusive right to operate in this manner?
These methods have worked for your side for years. And, good for you. Just don't be jerks about it when someone decides that they have an opinion that differs from yours and decides to voice that. It is well within our right to express opposition to the liberal agenda! And, furthermore, it is well within our right to express that opinion in any manner that we see fit. I guess it just doesn't feel so good to take a page from your own playbook, does it?
Well, get used to it! Whether you like it or not, it is not going to go away. You guys can try all you like to hijack our country and turn it into a socialist entitlement state. But, don't expect my side to support your efforts. Call me whatever you like. But, unlike most of you libs, my skin is thick enough to take your criticism. I am not going to sit idly by while the Liar in Chief attempts to force his agenda down our throats.
How do you like that?-

Wow. So the Repiblican have risen to using Code Pink tactics (as if Code Pink were part of the DEMs) or that Cindy Sheenhan vigilance protest for her lost son are in any way simular to the bussing in of Brownshirts to disrupt TownHall meetings.
Reply
Personally I think the authorities should rope off a little area outside the arena and call in the "Free Speech Zone" for all those losers. Make sure that they are far enough away from the meeting so their desprate and treasonous cries don't disrupt those trying to conduct the business at hand: Saving our country from the raving, rabid right wing stunt machine! -

Even if some of us got a little thrill when someone piped up during a congressional
hearing.............GUESS WHAT? We knew what would happen - and it did...........those
who were disruptive were removed from the room.
Did you see that happening at the townhall meetings? I saw the speakers futilely
try to politely reason with them - they weren't shown the door as they should have been.
Yes, the left exercised their right to free speech and paid the price.
Those BUSSED IN demonstrators were thoroughly ABUSING their right to free speech. -

I doubt this is true, but I hope it is. When the media refuses to do its job--refuses to challenge authority-- then citizens must step up. ACORN and the works of Saul Alinsky have shown us that a more confrontational form of activism is sometimes our only choice. Act-up and Greenpeace have acomplished important things by exactly this form of activity. The nation is facing an emergency. Obama wants to translate his popularity into a socialist oligarchy starting with the health care system. He wants to make his surgeon general the head of one full seventh of the economy, and he tells lies to achieve that.
Reply
Want to call this alarmist rhetoric? Is it out of the question to believe that presidents sometimes have outrageously terrible goals? Wrong-headed presidents can do unimaginable damage. Obama wants to make this a country that his intelectual mentors would admire. Who are those people? Ayers, Wright, Dorn and others of their kind who he mentions in his book. -

People who keep the speaker from talking,
are jerks; whether of the left or right.
You, as a conservative, value morals above political expediency;
just as you value free speech and patriotic civility.
You loathe these people,
who keep citizens from the chance to question their representative.
Well done! -

I just LOVE that the GOP is finally OPENLY acting like Nazis, for real.
Reply
The shouters were bussed in and had scripts!
The comparisons to Hitler's Brownshirts who used to disrupt Democratic meetings in Germany the late 1920's and early 1930's with intimidation, bullying (and finally violence) are inevitable since they appear so SUSPICIOUSLY like the techniques and goals of the belligerent organized Birthers and anti-health care thugs that are paid or led to disrupt the National discourse in American Town Hall meetings.
So besides having a TOTALLY KuKluxKlan sensibility, the Cons also follow Nazi methodology.
The question is, how long will Americans tolerate Nazi-style hate techniques tearing at our American Democracy?
Europe OUTLAWED it and includes jail-time for such behavior and plans. -

The irony is, if the right wing successfully blocks the reform bills in congress, they will have struck a blow IN FAVOR of single payor.
Reply
The bills under consideration will not only block single payor at the federal level, they will also effectively block single payor legislation at the state level, and the state level is where we are most likely to see single-payor legislation pass. California's legislature has passed single payor legislation TWICE, and only Schwarzenegger's veto kept it from passing into law. New Mexico has been very close to getting single payor healthcare passed, the only way they have prevented it is by Richardson and his cronies arranging to kill it in committee.
So, pass federal reform, slam the door shut on single payor. Kill the federal reform, and we are likely to see it pass in some states within the next five to ten years, after which point it will spread like wildfire.
So go ahead, you right-wing goons, you are doing exactly the right thing, although for exactly the wrong reasons. Shoot Obama's "reform" down, because we WANT to get single payor healthcare passed at the state level! -

While it certainly will not solve all the problems with the hired stooges disrupting these town-hall meetings, perhaps a simple expedient such as checking IDs at the door and only permitting people who are actually residents of the local community to participate in what is THEIR local meeting would cut down on the bussed-in, "I stayed at a Holiday Inn last night" crowd trying to undermine basic "small-D" democratic process.
