Ducking For Cover, Democrat Congress Not Enjoying Vacation »
Posted By btatman22 4 months, 3 weeks ago in Political OpinionAs the United States Congress takes its August vacation, many Democrat lawmakers are ducking for cover as angry conservatives rise up and voice their disapproval with their lack of representation in Congress. From the healthcare debacle to Cap and Trade, conservatives have had enough of the gimmicks and partisan hackery and the silent majority is quickly becoming the vocal majority. That is bad news for Democrats in general, and the Obama administration and sitting Democrat congressmen in particular.

Let the people speak! The politicians are there to represent US, not their party. Why can't the people VOTE on this thing? Is this a Democracy or isn't it? We the people of the United States demand to have our voices heard. One way or the other.

Gee Chip56; If I remember correctly there was an election back last year and the democrats won. Mr Obama was elected President of the United States and one of the pledges he made while running for office was to reform health care. Remember?? That is how a democracy works. The voters voted for Obama and now he is trying to fulfill his promise but the republicans don't think he should. They think he isn't even president . They are mad because he was born black so isn't really a real American. OK school is out . Go be a good republican and play in the street.

They're having problems? Too bad. Last year the media failed to really explain who Obama was. There were sooooo many puff pieces it wasn't funny. During the whole campaign it was end the war, bring the troops home and say nothing else. Hope & change... etc. Well not that people are having buyer's remorse, the Dems will be paying for it. Obama's been a Marxist type person for years. He's a college educated never had a real job type of guy. Community organizer? Acorn staffer? What did that do? Created jobs? Nope. Helped bring jobs to Chicago? Nope. Heck, when he was in congress, the jobs market continued to fall in his district. If the trend continues the Congress will move to a huge majority of Republicans and Obama will be a one term president.

We are a Republic not a Democracy.

I know this is most likely a question to difficult for you to answer but I give it a try anyway.
In the House the Dems have 257 Reps. They need 219 to pass ANY legislation.
How can the Repubs stop anything the Dems want to pass?
In the Senate the Dems have 60 Senators and 2 Independents that vote with the Dems.
That’s 62 votes, they need 60.
How can the Repubs stop anything the Dems want to pass?
The only ones that can stop Obama and the Dems is “The People” and that is what your seeing.
It is ONLY a lack of leadership by Obama that can cause Obama to fail. -

We are waking up to their BS and to take a quote from twisted sister "Were not gona take" The congressmen and women from both parties are not reading the bills and they say that they are good. They answer to us, we voted them in and they answer to use but they are a bunch of ******* because they can't come back home and face the facts.

They tried to shove the insurance companies into a corner. They sat down with Obama and said "yes" to everything.
Ooops. Nancy wasn't expecting that. In fact, since she's busy demonizing insurance companies, it doesn't appear she even got the memo.
Now of course we're to believe that ONLY Republicans and ONLY right-wingers inspired by ONLY conservative talk radio are opposing Marxcare.
