Racially Charged Sign Aimed At President »
Posted By TimALoftis 4 months, 2 weeks ago in Political NewsA racially charged sign that takes aim at President Barack Obama is raising eyebrows in northern Kentucky.
The sign is located along Main Street in Glencoe at the Eagle Hill Armoury gun store.
The sign reads, "Obama complains Americans are fat, police act stupid, U.S.A. is a bully, the president is a nagger." However, at some point over the weekend, the last word was changed to be a racial slur.

Oh, the poor ignorant Rednecks... There I used my freedom of Speech. Anyway, that won't change the Reality... The intelligent Americans, who voted for President Obama, know, ignorance continues. That will not make Obama go away. In fact, he should be good for another 4 years... Once he can undo, much of the mess, left by Bush and Company...

I'm with UnusualSuspect on this. Reprehensible? Yes. Irresponsible? Yes. Clownish? Yes. Protected speech? I think so. I don't like it any more than anyone else, but I still think it's protected. As long as it says "nagger" and not something else. Even then, I'm not sure how I feel about it. Upset, but thoughtful about the larger implications.

It's fairly obvious why the sign creator worded it the way he did. He wanted to imply the word with an 'i' but didn't want to spell it outright.

There's no way it was coincidental.
So he obviously still thinks it's funny to use the 'n' word to describe black people, including the President.

This would qualify as a clever euphemism just as S.O.B. is to the word it is meant to be a substitute for. They become just as offensive as the original word. Thinly veiled hate speech is what it is. Undoubtedly, offensive...says more about the sign's creator than whom it refers to.

And what part of the sign was not true? Oh, maybe the last line. It looked like a pun on the word "nagger" inviting a letter substitution that some racist obliged. Oh, but of course that was never contemplated but was an innocent joke, right? Wrong.

Do you ever take a moral stand?

Do you ever, just once, want to be against hate, evil and stupidity?
Not justifying it on the grounds that someone else did it worse?
You don't have to work for hell.

they won't pay anyway.
