Obama Says Health Plan Helps Economy »
Posted By Eagle_Eye 4 months, 2 weeks ago in Health & FitnessWASHINGTON (Aug. 8) - Using better-than-expected jobs numbers to press his top domestic priority, President Barack Obama is arguing that overhauling the health care system is essential to the country's economic well-being.
Republicans countered that the high unemployment rate — 9.4 percent in July — shows how families and businesses are struggling and that Obama's reliance on a large government role in expanding health coverage is the wrong approach.

Yeah blame the Rs,,, that's the ticket. 9.4% unemployment is good news and something to crow about. I wonder how that good news would have been couched if someone with an R was in office?

Now let's see, they say that Health Care changes will help the economy,,,,,, ok I'll bite let's see the numbers,,,,,, let's see what individual costs will be for the middle class,,,,,, and let's see the projections validating that this program will not grow at rates that will make what we currently have look cheap.....
Yeah show me those numbers and I'll sign on,,,,,, no details no support.-

""9.4% unemployment is good news and something to crow about. I wonder how that good news would have been couched if someone with an R was in office?" Yes , you see what Bush did to this country and are trying to blame Obama for it, shame on you, I thought you had more intelligence then that.

I see a country bankrupted by the previous corrupt administration, I see a country struggling to get out of the hole.
I see a bunch of people that can't think or read for themselves still trying to divide the country and believing everything their "entertainment" leaders that spew nothing but fear mongering and hate.
I can't wait to see KARMA....what goes around comes around
Health Care changes will help us economically by lowering our monthly cost giving us more money to spend but you don't see that far ahead...all you see is what your leaders want you to see, try seeing for your self instead of what others want you to see and then maybe you will see what is really going on, a country severely divided when it should be united.
I know your going to come back at me with some dribble but I will not allow myself to get involved or sucked into your arguments ever again because it always turns into ridiculous spin.

Health Care reform will also help the economy because monies will be spent on prevention. Of course insurance corp ceos will see their million dollar salaries decreased. Their money will be diverted back into actual healthcare and prevention where it should have been in the first place.

Have you noticed how the Tea Baggers look like Limbuagh mini me's? They spout the same wording, and use the same gestures. I really expected adults to have abilities to speak their own minds, not fan club mentalities. Limbaugh, Hannity, Oreily, have all contributed to the creation of the crazed mentality of their fans. Watch how their fans get so emotionally aroused by the crap they spew. It looks like a group of teens at a KISS concert. -

within a few years 20% of our GDP will be devoted to healthcare, the highest in the world by far. which will be nearly double what the nation in second place (switzerland) is spending.
healthcare costs have gone up 120% over the last ten years, while overall inflation has gone up 44% over the last ten years and overall wages have gone up only 29% over the last ten years.
so the cost of health care is outpacing inflation by nearly 3 to 1 and outpacing wages by a bit more than 4 to 1. which means the insurance companies are simply price gouging us.
in 2008 alone, healthcare ependitures rose 6.9%, double the rate of inflation.
all the cons keep complaining that a $1 trillion price tag over ten years (or $100 billion/year) is too much, yet in 2007 alone we spent over $2.4 TRILLION.
WHICH MEANS...
Obama's plan will be cheaper, since he wants to raise healthcare costs only 4% per year over our current costs, while if we do nothing, those costs will raise at double the rate, as evidenced by last years 6.9% rise in costs.
bottom line: it will save us money in the long run, and if we stay on our current course we will surely be in the poor house. -

Congressman Fleming is trying to get his colleagues to have the same health care plan they pass. If you think they should, sign his petition:

That is a huge reason why I say no way Jose to the healthcare reform ideas that have been thrown around. If they won't put themselves and their families on it, why should I? Why not start with themselves - use themselves as a guinea pig...if it works so gloriously, as they are all saying it will, then come and talk to me...if your costs have gone down, and you aren't costing the american public more...then come talk to me. But don't try to sell me on a shill game.

Health care wouldn't seem so much if we were'nt paying out 30% of our pay checks. Taxes are toooo much. Government takes toooo much. If I didn't have to work from January till the end of May just to pay taxes. I'd have money. Insurance is not the issue. Government waste is the issue. Pelosi plane rides is the issue. Nobody pays my way back and forth to work. And I'm a contributor, not an old bag.

My Fellow Americans: I don't want National Health Care. I'll take care of my own Health Care. I'll spend what I want on myself and those who depend on me. I don't need the Government forcing me to pay for everyone elses Health Care. Pay for your Own.

You must be living on another Planet if you think the Obama plan is to Lower the Cost of Health Care and Save Money. He just bought 6 More Jets for the Congress at a half a Billion Dollars. That's Saving Money?
It will cost more, less people will be taken care of, and more people will die because of the poor Health Care they will be receiving. So, Say Experts in the Medical Profession.
Your Father and Mother, your Sisters and Brothers, Your Grandparents, your Children may end up at home with no hope for Medical Attention or Dead if this Plan Passes. There are so many Loopholes in this Bill that is not even Written Up that will just create to much Chaos in our Economy.
Go to Work, If you can find a Job. Buy your own Health Insurance and save Money. No Hospital will refuse you then and you won't have to wait for the Government to approve your entrance. Control your Own Life. The Government can't run anything properly. The Real American -

As Republicans, we believe you create jobs by keeping taxes and regulation low, and litigation at a minimum. Americans succeed when government puts in place positive policies that encourage more freedom, and more opportunity," he said.

McDonnell also said that, unlike Democrats, Republicans are committed to helping the uninsured
WHAT AN ABSOLUTE LOAD OF CARP...Puks have no plan other than tax cuts and thats been played out. Its called the point of diminishing returns. The best case for the health care discussion will be to rein in insurance profits. Why.. Because they're greedy pigs.
A note to Puks... the free market isn't free... no thats not it... how about if guns are outlawed... no wait... hmmm...drill baby drill ... no... ummm.. socialism....hmmm Canada stinks well err...
Bottom line is that Americans will believe whomever tells them what they want to hear. Sad really.
A good example would be Medicare part D. There was a classic case of tweeking the system. Do puks really have an explanation for that mess.
As I said, Americans must be stupid to have fallen for that. -
