When I went through the TJ border I would always answer California when they asked my country. California could not only survive on its own we would likely have Oregon and Washington join us. Right now we subsidize the southern states. We would be so much better without the south.

You would get about a third of Washington. East of the Casade Mtns you would not have. West of the mountains ,you can have. How can you say you subsidize the south. California's bubget is blown, southern California depends on Neveda for its water. Northern California needs to cut off the parasites from south. You are right, the west coast would be better off without Southern California!!
