For me, the only reason to give ones life is to save the life of another person. I don´t want to leave the Afghan people alone. I don´t want the Taliban to rule this wonderful country, but at the moment, I don´t see any sense in the military actions taking place down there. American and European soldiers are only reacting on attacs and assassinations. The risk has become incalculable, the efforts nearly aren´t worth talking about. German soldiers have come to educate policemen and to rebuild infrastructure. Now, they are in the middle of something that mustn´t be called "war".
I don´t have a solution. I know, that we can´t leave head over heels, but I know that military presence makes helping more difficult, sometimes even more dangerous. It´s a desaster, but where will be the exit?
