The Nation magazine headline was sensational: Blackwater Founder Implicated in Murder . The article, written by Jeremy Scahill, an investigative journalist and author of Blackwater: The Rise of the World's Most Powerful Mercenary Army , exploded on screen during a must see Aug. 4, 2009 segment of MSNBC's Countdown with Keith Olbermann ( video posted below ). It was summarized by Amy Goodman on Aug. 5 when Scahill appeared on Democracy Now! :

Prince has been accused of gun running, murder, providing young prostitutes for blackwater personnel in Iraq, and indiscriminate killing of Iraqi's for as part of a heathen cleansing campaign. Again this story is slowly falling through the cracks. Not hardly a peep from the MSM, but Olbermann.

The contracting of Blackwater and its role in Iraq was not done blindly. Using outside agencies for interrogation of alleged terrorist-prisoners is no accident either.

In my opinion things in Iraq started getting better when the Iraqi's started putting their foot down about Blackwaters murderous tendencies. I hope Prince goes to prison.

Wasn't it Rumsfeld and Cheney who wanted to privatize many of the duties and responsibilities that our military had been doing for years and rewarded their friends large contracts which many with no-bid contracts. Theses private contractors answered to no one and had a free rein until January of this year. The DOD and the Justice Department turned a blind eye to their excesses and allowed them to gouge the government for financing shoddy work and criminal activity.

We have been warning about and unearthing bits of Blackwater's heinoussness since the old Netscape.

I'm glad it is finally all coming out.

The plan seems to have been to invoke martial law, engage the Con Infra-Gard local thugs and then send Blackwater door to door (to capture "terrorists") ultimately using that cover for Blackwater to murder American dissidents.

            Sound paranoid?

Not when the Unitary Executive had a private Fundamentalist Army, not answerable to American law, that murders for sport, and pushed for sending in "troops" to AMERICAN cities, it doesn't.

This story has it all. Sex, Murder and corruption in the highest levels of Government. That this is not the leading story on every media outlet is proof positive that our media is controlled by a handful of war profiteers and other scummy weasels.

I guess my question is directed to those who dropped this article. And that question would be Why?

Now that Blackwater has a new Corporate name ( Xe) they are eligible to continue being a "gun for hire " organization.

I believe that they are guilty of just about any vile thing we could think of. Just think about the conversations about torture these days. I was listening to a speaker for the past Administration just about an hour ago.

He was saying that nobody from the Bush bunch could be convicted for torture because Waterboarding didn't meet the definition of torture ( cruel and or/harmful because waterboarding will not kill anyone).

This type of framing an issue ignores the death of hundreds of detainees tortured to death by simply talking about waterboarding and saying it wont kill anyone. I agree it wont. But then how did all those die who were tortured to death.

I know some died from being beaten to death, one well documented case over a two week period.

To drop this article reveals the mental defect of those people.

I'm not making light of the rest of the allegations, but I recall the downfall of a certain Al Capone and the government may have the IN they need to bring this man down.

FTA - "(John Doe 2 also alleged Prince and his associates engaged in money laundering and tax evasion; that Prince's chief financial officer resigned, telling Prince he was unwilling to go to jail for him.)"

Uh oh! Tax Evasion! This could get ugly if the IRS gets involved. This guy sounds more like a Mafioso than a business leader. Better get his CFO under wraps quick. Prince could become the next Public Enemy #1!

Since when do "investigations," and "airings,' by people with a political agenda become news-- but here we are talking the ike of Kieth Olberman. Where are the investigative stories of ACORN of Obama's earlier days in the political cess pool of Cook County Illinois. Blackwater is a defense contractor who takes on missions considered to dirty or dangerous or important for regular army units. When Washington dignitaries go to war zones, it is Blackwater who protects them. This is just one more story to "get Bush,"! The US has turned into a Banana Republic justice system where the last administration in condemned and tried. The Republicans started it with the impeachment of Slick Willy and the Dems continue the march.
