Chuck Norris: Obamacare's Dirty Secret #1 »
Posted By aic4ever 4 months, 3 weeks ago in Political OpinionIt's outlined in sections 440 and 1904 of the House bill (Page 838), under the heading "home visitation programs for families with young children and families expecting children." The programs (provided via grants to states) would educate parents on child behavior and parenting skills.
The bill says that the government agents, "well-trained and competent staff," would "provide parents with knowledge of age-appropriate child development in cognitive, language, social, emotional, and motor domains ... modeling, consulting, and coaching on parenting practices," and "skills to interact with their child to enhance age-appropriate development."
Are you kidding me?! With whose parental principles and values? Their own? Certain experts'? From what field and theory of childhood development? As if there are one-size-fits-all parenting techniques! Do we really believe they would contextualize and personalize every form of parenting in their education, or would they merely universally indoctrinate with their own?

Chuck Norris is correct, the commie community gay activists are waiting with a syringe of liberal death juice, to euthanize your grandmother and cast your kids into re-education accorn camps, where their precious bodily fluids will be contaminated by homosexual and atheist syrums.

the sad truth is that rank and file democrats will accept the program with open arms. they will say "oh, but that sounds so nice, doesn't it? what's wrong with not having to phone mom for parenting questions? government should set me up."
Reply
this spawns from the fallacy that the goodness of government is greater than the goodness of the individual. they put government on a pedestal because "government knows best." this rumor should be put to rest the moment we realize that the government is made up of the same error-prone people that enfeeble every human institution. getting a job in the government doesn't suddenly make you more enlightened.
they should publish the names of whoever actually writes these bills. or pass a "one bill at a time" law, so none of this totalitarian garbage ever sneaks in under the radar.-

This is a benefit, that I'm sure you, who are too wise to need, can decline. Part of any health plan are measures for promotion of health and prevention of disease. These are the measures that are hoped will cut the future costs of health care. However, no one is going to come in your home and keep you from giving marijuana to your kids, because it's one of your religious sacraments!

My first child was born in England, where I was a student. As a first-time mother, my wife was allowed to stay in the maternity hospital 10 days, where she got help with child-care and such things as breastfeeding, and was able to bond with several other first-time mothers. Then, there were weekly home visits, during which we were able to ask any questions and get any instruction we needed on such things sanitation, diaper rashes, and circumcision.

tadair, if the House bill did what Norris says it does, you might have an argument about the relative "goodness" of government compared to the individual.
Reply
But it doesn't.
And incidentally, they DO publish the names of the people who write the bills. You can find the sponsors and co-sponsors at http://thomas.loc.gov.

Firstly, everyone has heard stories of people who have no idea how to raise their kids--who don't know when to take them to a doctor, who can't tell when they have disabilities that could be minimized with early treatment, who don't understand the basics of feeding and treating them.
Reply
These visitation programs are an extension of the information hospital employees already give all mothers who've just given birth--the language in the bill extends to providing useful knowledge to parents about child development.
Secondly, teachers in schools already look for developmental problems and lack of age-appropriate development, as well as insufficient parenting practices, so they can get the kids help when needed.
Thirdly, what is the problem with providing parents with "knowledge of age-appropriate child development in cognitive, language, social, emotional, and motor domains ... modeling, consulting, and coaching on parenting practices," and "skills to interact with their child to enhance age-appropriate development"?
There's no indoctrination here--no political or social philosophies are mentioned in the bill, and it'd be ridiculous to try to get parents to teach them.
Fourthly, the House bill only provides funds to states to decide how to administer such visitation programs. The House bill does not mandate how states use those funds, or even that they use them at all.
Fifthly, it's beyond the imagination of the sane to believe "well-trained and competent staff" equals "government agents." There are already professionals who are well-trained in child development who perform these services. Why would anyone replace them with "government agents"?
Evidently, Chuck Norris has become a delusional paranoiac in his retirement. He sees government agents everywhere.-

we adopted some cats at the local shelter a few months ago. the girl who set us up told us not to get the sand kitty litter, but instead they recommended a special brand of cedar wood that you can flush down the toilet and was good for the environment.
Reply
not thinking much of it, i dutifully scooped the kitty poo and flushed the pellets down the toilet for a couple months. finally, last week the toilet backed up.
i broke two plungers trying to unclog it, and then took a trip to the hardwood store to buy an auger. the auger failed. so i had to pull the whole toilet off and snake it from underneath. needless to say, it was an absolute mess. there was wet soggy saw dust everywhere. It was a terrible job.
the net loss, with towels, tools, wax, plungers and augers, it probably came out to be $100 lost and 4 hours of labor. Sure enough, I read the label and it specifically says not to flush it, which would have prevented this disaster.
So yesterday i told the local shelter to stop telling people that it is ok to flush that stuff down the toilet.

i can't get over the tyrannical attitude from the left nowadays. from 2000-2008 they were the down-trodden populist defenders of liberty who stood against totalitarian bush government.
Reply
now the mantra is force your neighbor into doing your bidding, without seeing the contradiction. i mean, they rightfully complained about it for 8 years. and now suddenly it's perfectly fine to sneak in a nanny state bill that forces your neighbor into allowing government coming into their home to tell them how to parent their children?
yeah, real progressive...-

These services are already provided by pediatricians and state health agencies.
This goes right along with the "end of life" counseling section. Drs. and nurses and hospitals already address that issue in the course of their duties.
What's up?-

"Drs. and nurses and hospitals already address that issue in the course of their duties. " This is true but in the event that the bill passes as written then those doctors will then become members of a panel that can override the wishes of the widow/widower/parent/children, etc. The final decisions should be that of the surviving family or chosen proxy (friend, relative, whatever).

It appears Chuck Norris has read more of the Obamacare plan than all the congress people, senators and the administration combined. Way to go Chuck! Give them hell! Perhaps we should elect Chuck to be prez. It would be a better choice than the moron we have in office right now. I wonder how well the SEIU thugs wouid stand up to Chuck. I like the visual on that.

It's NOT just about the Healthcare. It is a rally cry for those who would see this Republic crushed. Using the techniques of the NAZI Big Lie, "if you say it enough they will believe it", the GOP and their right wing allies want an overthrow of the government, and like the Al Quida use a small portion of the public to CRUSH the rest of society.

My Fellow Americans: Obviously you can see what happens to Children that are raised by the Left. They become Traitors, Racist, Degenerates, Liars, Fowl Mouthed Double Dooms, and Obama Nurse Maids. They have nothing better to do all day than write Anti American Dribble and Suck Down Tacos. They are Fat, Ugly, and Smell Bad. They can't come up with anything original. They have to have it written down for them by Obamas Speech Writer and have one of their Psychologist to rearrange it into an even more outrageous Comment. They claim to be war heros but don't mention they fought on the side of the Terrorist. They think like children so they want people to treat them like children. They throw tantrums as much now as they did when they were being programed by the Radicals. Just look at how they turned out. True Sickos! They my friends are the true evil empire Bots.
