FTA: "As long as they have a good product and the government plan has to sustain itself through premiums and other non-tax revenue, private insurers should be able to compete with the government plan, Obama said.

"They do it all the time," he said. "UPS and FedEx are doing just fine. ... It's the Post Office that's always having problems."
HAHAHAHA! He's clueless.
Did he actually say this? Did he really say that the public option would suck compared to the private options? Is that how he's selling it?

No, actually, it's not market competition. It's an artificially skewed market.

The dynamic that would make it a true competitive market doesn't exist when one of the players is backed by the taxpayer (by force via taxes).
But let's ignore that for now. What the President is saying (based on his flawed view of a competitive market) is that there will be an option for those who can afford to pay for better service. That's sounds great. But there are provisions that either outright force people into the government run option or make it the only option (when you switch jobs, lose your job, or if your employer decides to drop the private group insurance they offer).
So you have people with the extra money being able to buy Premium insurance and the rest of us are forced to have the government option (or pay a penalty for not having any insurance at all).
And all this for a plan the President is basically saying will run like every other government program and is "always having problems".
LOL! I hope the President keeps talking.
