    Political Suicide?

As FRC Action officially launches its half-million dollar campaign today, new evidence has surfaced about the existence of rationing in the health care bills. A group called "Compassion & Choices" has publicly admitted to writing the controversial portions of the legislation that deal with rationing. On the organization's website, a spokesman confirms Compassion's involvement, writing, "Compassion & Choices has worked tirelessly with supportive members of Congress to include in proposed reform legislation a provision requiring Medicare to cover patient consultation with their doctors about end-of-life choice (section 1233 of House Bill 3200)."

For those of you who may be unfamiliar with the group, Compassion & Choices is an offshoot of a 1980s organization called the Hemlock Society, America's leading advocate for assisted suicide. It looks like FRC Action will have to make room for more on its paper, "10 Reasons Rationing Is In The Health Care Overhaul." In the meantime, if you haven't seen our television ads, airing now in Alaska, Pennsylvania, Louisiana, Nebraska, and Arkansas, please visit the FRC Action website. Please consider partnering with us on these commercials by donating to the effort to keep them--and our radio ads--on the air. For more information, visit www.frcaction.org/takeover.
