This is exactly what happens when your life is at the mercy of the government. The people on the health board must make morally bankrupt decisions based on a finite amount of money being distributed to the masses. Keep your government healthcare. I'm not interested.

This is very disturbing. It just show that we are all little cash cows and when its cheaper to slaughter the cow that's the route the penny pinching mongers will take. People aren't dollars they are someones loved one.

The insurance corps do this everyday by denying claims refusing to pay for needed medical treatment. They don't call this suicide it's called cost controls and managed care. How many people do you think died becasue insurance corps refused to pay for care? Or would only pay for the cheapest level care that prolonged a persons suffering.

The article said it is rare for companies to help with costs but this one has a program just for that and has helped others before. Google Tarceva-It's there. This shouldn't be an argument; Insurance companies routinely refuse to pay for services. Show us any company that pays for Tarceva.
