Palin Leaves Behind Mismanaged AK Health Care System - Hundreds Die Waiting For Care »

Posted By bluetexasvalley 4 months, 3 weeks ago in Political News

Perhaps Sarah Palin made that ridiculous statement about "Obama Death Panels" because she knew this story was going to break -- it was happening in her own state, right under her nose.

    FTA:
State programs intended to help disabled and elderly Alaskans with daily life -- taking a bath, eating dinner, getting to the bathroom -- are so poorly managed, the state cannot assure the health and well-being of the people they are supposed to serve, a new federal review found.

The situation is so bad the federal government has forbidden the state to sign up new people until the state makes necessary improvements. No other state in the nation is under such a moratorium, according to a spokeswoman for the federal Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.

In the meantime, frail and vulnerable Alaskans who desperately need the help are struggling. One elderly woman is stuck in a nursing home, for lack of care at home. Another woman, suffering from chronic pain and fatigue, said she's so weak, she often can't even pop dinner into the microwave.

Psst... guys, she appointed a commission to improve Alaska's Health Care system.

    Idiots.

If you morons could somehow prove that Alaska's system was all peachy before she showed up and that she somehow ruined it, you might have something here.

What proof do those who snivel at Palin's feet need? She is an incompetent, ignorant, yahoo who will take them down with her.
She can't manage her own family, much less the state which she deserted or the country she is trying to destroy.
Palin is like Alaska's version of Anita Bryant - yoo hoo - Anita where are you now?

After reading rbill's and Endoscopy's comments ... I am discouraged at how 'Championism' is becoming so prominent among our citizens.

Here we have a politician ... barely capable ... who having followed the "Peter Principle" beyond expectations ... is defended by 'partisans'.

Even in the face of obvious .. (to everyone else) .. incompetence - her partisan 'champions' praise her unceasingly ... and endlessly shift blame to others.

    It's called being Un-Accountable.

Can America trust and value a political party that refuses to acknowledge incompetence and dereliction of duty ... the essence of Palin .... of Bush .... of Sanford?

So once again we have the anti-Palin bandwagon blaming Palin for something again. What happened? Time ran out for Obama blaming everything on Bush so now it's Palin's turn?

      From the story.
In honor of the people of Alaska who died on her watch, Sarah Palin needs to stop makin' stuff up about health care reform, and apologize for screwing things up and then running away when the going got tough.
She is very good at quitting maby she should join quitters anonymous LOL

It just amazes me how the right continues to support avarice, ignorance, and egregious actions of their party without blinking an eye. Yet, they worry about Obama taking his wife out to dinner as irresponsible. They are truly insane.

BTW - Did anyone watch the Jon Stewart piece last night on Glenn Back? Hilarious!

Just one more plus for healthcare reform. No longer will old people die or have fatigue or pain or be stuck in nursing homes .

I am so tired of hearing about all of this socialist stuff. Medicare is socialist, we have so many social things going on including socialist property insurance here in FL - yes the government provides prop. insurance. And I am really tired about hearing about how bad the Canadian system is, my winter neighbors are all Canadian snowbirds and they wouldn't give up their healthcare for anything. If it's so bad then why don't Canadians vote to get rid of it? WHY NOT? And also a lot of you forget that Pres Obama inherited this mess and that W wasted more trillions on wars we aren't winning and to pay off his buddies before Obama was elected. Our deficit was the highest in history and it wasn't Obama's fault, now suddenly people have forgotten the last 8 years huh?

My Fellow Americans: Face it you Radical Pansies. Sarah kicked Obamas skinny little Toucheee back to the White Houses Baby Room.

When she speaks, Americans Listen. She Read The Bill. She Knew What She Was Saying. Obama just keeps talking through his Teleprompter.

So, Mr. Bo Jangles, it might pay to read your proposal before you call it yours. Oh, I forgot you don't have a Universal Health Care Reform Plan. I believe it is supposed to be a National Health Care Plan. So, we are taking care of the Universe Now?

Sarah, Sarah, Sarah, how sweet your Victory must Feel. Obama, Obama, Obama, how sour your Defeat must Feel. Your Bones Rattled by a Woman with Brains. I just Love It.

Good thing your deleting that end of life counseling clause from the Bill that wasn't there. Get With the Program.

No More Hiding Ear Marks in Bills. That goes for you too Pelosi. The Real American

My Fellow Americans: I wonder what school Obama sends his Liberal Propeller Antagonizing Writers to for Laughs. Oh! Yah, it's Harvard.

Well, we know what type of Professors they have there and I guess that explains why those graduating from that Institution, and it is an institution, develop such a Spaced Out, Brain Dead, Dumbness.

The Liberals think this is a battle of Brains between the Damocrats and the Republicans. The Reason we Conservatives don't retaliate with bone crushing wisdom against them is because we never attack anyone who is Unarmed. Believe me they are certainly unarmed. The Real American

If anyone is interested in the actual facts, going to the original article that this BLOG got it's OPINION from, you would learn that there was not one mention of S. Palin, and:

"An earlier attempt to reform the personal care assistance program may have inadvertently created some of the current trouble. After costs soared from $8 million a year in fiscal 2000 to $80 million five years later, the Legislature ordered the state Department of Health and Social Services to control the spending. The state eventually decided to hire its own nurses to determine who needed how much care. The cost of that program dropped."

"Davis, the attorney who has brought many of the suits, said he doesn't believe people are dying because of poor quality care or abuse. While the state doesn't allow as many hours of care as people need, he said, the care itself is good. The multitude of private contractors makes the field competitive, and clients can switch providers if they aren't satisfied, he said."
