The US Government condones eating of complex carbohydrates although many of us have been advised to avoid carbohydrates at all costs if we are to lose weight. Now, the thing is this, there are good carbohydrates and there are bad ones. The ones you SHOULD consume more of are fruits, vegetables and whole grains.
