How funny!! All this time the left has been insulting christians, calling them sister-humping evangelicals, and have managed to take prayer out of schools. They've made it possible for evolution to be taught in school, but make fun of those who oppose it or want creationism taught. They curse the Mormon church for it's opposition to homosexual behavior.

NOW you want to bring Jesus into the health care debate and ask wwjd....liberal hypocrisy knows no bounds.-

Anyone can pray in school any time they want? Or is your God so impotent that you have to set aside a special time recognized by the government?
Creationism can be taught in a fiction class or a religious doctrine class. It's not science, so it has no business in anything related to a science class.
"They curse the Mormon church for it's opposition to homosexual behavior."
Mormons aren't Christians (they're poly-theists), and the only thing the Bible says about homosexuality is that a particular act between men is forbidden. Christ said nothing about homosexuality.

What's most striking is the absence of the Christian aspect of the American Christian Conservatives.
Reply
You'd think that ... if the American Christian were true followers of Jesus ... they would embrace ANY effort that provides Health Care to Americans ... after all ... that's one of the main ministries of Jesus.
But to the American Christian ... they look at sick people ... and they say ..." oh .. tough luck ... I'm glad I'm not one of them. ... Now ... let's see how many people we can kick off Health Care Plans!"
The Modern American Christian Conservative proves their faith is an empty vessel ... devoid of life ... a soul less vacuum.

Jesus never employed the coercive power of the state... nor did he ever suggest employing the coercive power of the state to minister "Love" to people. Jesus was all about the individual, of their own free will, and even perhaps in concert with each other (but, always through through an individual's choice), ministering to others. In doing so, that would be Love. Never could it be said that the state can "Love". That notion that the state "Loves" is very seductive. However, upon close examination, and with a little understanding of history, it will be seen to be the biggest and most nonsensical canard of the left.

This person is quoting the Bible and then quotes the big lie about how many people are uninsured. That 45 million is based on a lie. A large number are making over $50,000 and chose not to have insurance because they see no need for it at this time in their lives and can afford the medical costs at their age. Another large group is between coverages. Another large group qualify for Medicare, medicaid, or other insurance but never bothered to fill out the paperwork. The next large group is illegal aliens. That leaves 8 million instead of the 45 million she quoted.

She then talks about how under insured the Medicare program is. That is what Obama wants to give everybody. That equivalent insurance. She obviously does not understand that simple fact. -

This article is sentimental garbage. In the first place health care is not a "right" but that is what the left is saying it is. BUT the government will force all of us to participate in a "right" AND pay for it! It is NOT love to take the true rights of individual citizens so the government can redistribute the property of others to "provide" care for other citizens. Thinking Christians do not want others to be responsible for their health care by taking the property of other citizens. As a Christian I take responsibility for the life and needs of myself and family not depending on others and I want each person to rely on their own abilities and talents NOT depend on others to provide for them.
Reply
As for bringing Jesus into it, Jesus heals by Divine power and I look to Him for that and extend His hands to the sick whenever and wherever I can. Am I against medical "healing" NO. Am I against requiring a group of people being FORCED to pay for medical care for others? YES! Am I against redefining INSURANCE by saying it is a right all should expect to be provided? YES! Insurance is a group of people who expect the risks to be minimal for the group. But government has demanded such groups accept high risk individuals or even those who are not a "risk" but who are sick with a lifethreatening disease before they are insured. That dilutes the group's pool and is contrary to all definitions of insurance except the newest one the government wants us to accept.
The proposed "health care insurance" is actually "health care WELFARE.!!!"
