Rick Perry compared Mexico to the Gaza Strip this week, saying Texas can learn from Israeli security efforts after touring a town that has been hit by Palestinian rockets. Perry, who has demanded a heightened U.S. troop presence along the Rio Grande, went to Israel's border with Gaza and was briefed by Israeli army officials.

Odd...but both the federal government and the State of Texas could do more to prevent what we see happening at the border in Mexico. Remember...there used to be only barbed wire strung for miles and miles...and the occasional cattle stolen. Today...there are many people imprisoned in the uS that could have been turned back over to the Mexican Government o0r other governments...instead...the uS chose to burden everyone and follow a policy of revenge.

One suggestion would be to not compare the state of Texas to some other region...and another would be to have the US Congress issue dollars that are endorsed on the back...removing the middle man that sells drugs.
But...we will see Washington and others advantage the poor...with three tier programs etc....then push corporations, etc. on the poor. Sorry about the conditions in Israel, but Israel could have managed this whole thing without the US...the people of Israel have it in them...-

I do not recall daily barrages of Mexican rockets exploding in one or more towns of Texas. I somehow believe that in case there were such barrages it would be Israel who could learn from the Americans how to deal with those launching these rockets as well as their supporters.
One can recall how the Americans reacted on 9/11 to understand what my belief is based on...

I once had three peach trees infected by aphids It started out with just a few .within two years they had sucked the sap from both so bad the only choice i had was to cut both down.The mexicans comming in to this country are alot like that,sucking our medical,welfare an educational system dry.When will we wake up?

WHY DOESN'T THE UNITED STATES JUST ANNEX MEXICO . END THE CORRUPT GOVERNMENT . GIVE THE MEXICAN PEOPLE HOPE . NO NEED TO FOR THE ILLEGALS TO KEEP CROSSING THE BORDER , THEY COULD JUST STAY WITH THERE FAMILIES . OPEN UP MORE COMMERCE FOR THE UNITED STATES . OIL FIELDS WOULD BELONG TO US , AND NOT CHINA OR VENEZUELA . WE COULD CONTROL THE DRUG CARTELS BETTER PUSHING THEM BACK INTO SOUTH AMERICA . MIGHT EVEN SAVE OUR ECONOMY . 60alter.It is not us,it's them our so called law makers.As you read the laws on immigration,it makes you proud,but when you realise these laws without enforcement become merely suggestions.When a president says enforce the laws today,without ambiguities it should happen,and punish those who refuse.Every law maker in the house,and senate who votes for amnesty in any form,or passes Obama Care to include illegals must be removed from office.Not doing so violates our rights,and the oath of of their offices,including the president.They become cheats,liars,and enemies of our Constitutional Republic.

If the USA really wanted to stop illegal immigration it could be done. Do you realize that all of the combat troops being withdrawn from Iraq now and over the next two years (my son is one of them)will be brought back to bases in the USA and then just train, train, train. That includes the Infantry and Armor as well as support staff to go to the field and stay for six to eight weeks to simulate battle conditions. Thats GREAT, just have them deploy along the US-Mexican border. We have enough troops that we could dig fighting positions every fifty yards and have them manned (or womanned)24 hours a day. I am not suggesting shooting people who only want to work and help their families, just making them go about it the right way. Dont tell me it cant be done, I am ex-Military (Army Infantry, then Airborne)and I KNOW we could do it IF the leaders of our Country would only adopt a hard-line stance and make illegals APPLY for Citizenship and LEARN OUR LANGUAGE AND WAYS. We should not have to learn theirs and accomodate them with Spanish drivers license exams etc. All other cultures that came here learned English. We did NOT bend to any other nationality like that other than the blacks, who managed to get Ebonics recognized and managed to get college entrance exam scores lowered so they MIGHT be able to pass them. Everyone in the USA has the same chance to get an education, why dumb down America to appease another minority that still whines and feels entitled for something that happened 200 to 400 years ago? To hell with Equal Opportunity that gives not equal but preferential treatment to minorities. Hire the person who scores highest on the particular test that applies to the job, regardless of skin color or nation of origin. Equal Opportunity should be just that, everyone treated equally, no preferential treatment for minorities or women or women minorities. Treat everyone equally and that is fair enough. If you want to work in management or science or anything else, educate yourself to the level that you can be productive then go for it. Dont whine that you didnt get the job because you were red, black, yellow, white, or whatever other "picked on" section of society you might name. Post the best score, get the job, plain and simple. -

If we fired on sight with shoot to kill orders, illegals would soon learn or die. Sorry, but that's the way strong countries stay that way. They earn respect at the borders and that's that. But no, we have to be the catch all otherwise Obama will go visit our enemies and empathize with them some more. Obama would have been treated like Mussolini had he tried to run the USA like this in wartime. Pitiful.

Yeah, there are a lot to learn from Israel such as how to lie, how to kill women and children in bed, how to bomb, how to destroy farm land and poison drinking water and also how to claim someone else's country as God promised to them and how to use ban weapons and then deny and then later admit, not stopping at that erect a wall around the country by taking some one else.s land. How can any decent human being learn things from international thugs and criminals? What a model state is Israel!!!

Yes, there is a lot to learn from israel. That when you allow a terror regime like hamas to exist on your border without completely destroying it, you are only putting your own citizens at risk. Which is exactly what is happening on our border with mexico to a lesser extent. Like the Islamo-fascists of Hamas, the narco-terrorists of Mexico will continue their violence and terror until the governments of Mexico and the US get serious about combatting them. The same goes for Israel. They should have stayed in Gaza until they finished the job.
