Cigars were made on the islands where temperature and humidity is usually high, so unless you want to lose all the flavor in your cigars, placing and protecting it in a humidor should keep your cigar in the condition it was originally intended to be in. Humidors are required because cigars adapt and change according to their surroundings. If they are not placed in a humidor, they will age quickly and lose all of their great flavor.
