Yet another example of why Unions, Obama and socialism are bad for America. When a person can’t oppose legislation for fear of physical assault by the opposition and public insult by their own representatives, there are serious issues with the state of a nation. Free speech applies to everyone. While disagreement and dissent are acceptable and appropriate, violence is not. It is also telling that Conservatives are not being allowed to carry signs, but Liberals are distributing pamphlets. The hypocrisy is astounding, as usual.
If it’s true that the victim was mocked with questions about his health care, it raises even more disturbing issues. When did it become acceptable for adults to behave like petulant children in public? It doesn’t help that our President behaves like a petulant child, making wild accusations(doctors removing tonsils, etc) and belittling average Americans who disagree with his agenda. It’s shameful and absurd.-

How come you're not asking this of the whining Repugs who scream over everyone at Town Hall meetings to the point of being oppressive?-

People should be civil and reasonable at all times in our society. Yet as we have seen repeatedly, esp over the past few months, from the Tea Bag Parties, Prof Gates incident, to the Town hall meeting, and other 'media published events', when people get emotionally upset, they have a tendency to drop the civil and reasonable part of society and start yelling and/or resort to mild forms of violence, which can easily escalate in to out right violent situations, to bring attention to their dis-satisfaction at certain people, institutions, or situations.
