I agree, this legislation would be a disaster for consumers at all income levels. The last thing that our economy needs right now is more stress placed upon it via an increase in the cost of running a business. I work in a mid sized print shop that has experienced layoffs in recent months and we certainly cannot afford any increase in our utilities at this point. Secondly, I don't have the extra funds to spend on electricity at home.

Why doesn't the government help out with the Carbon Emissions of Coal Companies instead of forcing them to pay excessive fees for creating energy that all Americans need.

It doesn't make sense to punish Companies for energy that we all use. It might be cheaper in the end to get our energy from China. -

When nothing else matters other than Obamas ego he won't give up on either disastrous plan.I was in construction all my adult life. You don't continue to erect a structure if there is a problem with the foundation.Obama has literally, and purposely ignored the lack of jobs,in favor of paying off his supporters, screwing with our health care ,cap, and steal. Not only are the people hurting, but the U S Treasury is a dry hole.Wake fools, demand the remaining six hundred billion dollars of stimulus be put into the economy. If not put it back in treasury before anymore turtle tunnels are built, along with the other half witted projects are funded
