It shows how many A-holes have influenced something decent against their own best interest. Let's keep the billionaires overpaid

The American Civil Liberties Union, Center for Constitutional Rights, Citizen's Commission for Human Rights, Electronic Frontier Foundation and others are non profit organizations that do not reap the same benefits as the Non Profit Congress...LOL Twisted!
To think we could have someone else do all this for us and get it done.

I'm with lizbet. I believe that is what we are being told, but I do not believe it is the truth. I think the Administration is buying time, taking the heat off, and will then sneak it back in like the Democrats always do. Their bills are always so grotesque that they HAVE to be shuffled in through the back door.

Even then, I don’t trust the Democrats. Or moderate Republicans. They’ll just write another bill that is just as bad. Or worse. Or nearly as bad.

Of course, when you have a government run by Chicago crooks, what else can you expect?

Any bill they write will be bad, way too long, and none of them will read it anyway....

it hasn't been dropped. the dems put out a statement today saying a bill won't get thru the house without a public option.

but hey, at least we're talking about the actual substance of the bill and not the invented death panels (at least the death panels in the form the cons were talking about, which never existed) and how Obama is trying ot kill your grandma.

and its not just liberals who want a public option. across the board people want a public option, doctors want a public option (according to the Unit. of Indiana School of Medicine poll), small businesses want a public option, etc etc etc.

Republicans have this bill, the Patient's Choice Act, ready to go. It includes univeral coverage, no denial of pre=existing conditions, transparency, and personal freedom to pick your plan.http://coburn.senate.gov/public/index.cfm?Fus...

Either Obama bin Laden got both of his brain particles to fire at the same time and have a good thought or he's just buying time.

Try looking at this health care debate from the Democrat perspective.

It has been a Democrat dream for decades to control the nation's health care delivery system. They thought they had it made in 1993 after Clinton's defeat of George H.W. Bush. Hillary got to work and created a monstrosity of a plan for government control of our health care, and it died a well-deserved and rather painful death. Within a year the Republicans had control of the House and the Senate.

For the following 15 years the Democrats wandered in the wilderness ... just waiting for their next opportunity to seize control of the American health care system. In 2003 Obama was making speeches telling of his support for a single-payer (government) health care system. He would tell the crowds that first "we have to take back the House, we have to take back the Senate, and we have to take back the White House." That magic day arrived on February 20, 2009.

For the past 15 years I have been telling my friends that if and when the Democrats once again control in Washington they would begin working immediately to make sure that they NEVER lost that control again, and they would do that by insuring that Americans became so dependent on government and Democrat policies that reelections were assured.

So .. here we are, and here they go ... again.
