President Pantywaist in retreat: Barack Obama hoists the white flag over Stalinist health care proposals »
Posted By RTHTGakaRoland 4 months, 2 weeks ago in Political OpinionThe white flag is flying over Camp Obama, which makes a pleasant change from the red flag that, metaphorically speaking, has been flying there since January 20. Barack Obama’s plan for socialised health care on the Stalinist model across the United States is now in full retreat. Not only will it not play in Peoria, it will not play anywhere.
Politicians returning to Washington after scrubbing off the tar and feathers acquired at town-hall meetings are bringing with them a blast of reality that has been absent from Obama’s dreamland regime since his inauguration.
So, President Pantywaist is in full retreat; but he is desperate for some face-saving measure to pretend he has achieved revolutionary reform. The Senate should not oblige. Obama has no interest in genuine health care reform: as a Senator he voted against all the moderate, achievable measures that were proposed. So far as he was concerned, the worse things got for 48 million uninsured Americans the better: it might persuade them to buy into his socialist scheme, the primary objective of which was not relief of suffering but expansion of Big Government.
President Pantywaist has been found out and it will get worse.

Once again you show you have no legitimate argument. Throwing out garbage like this.

The ironic thing is that as Obama slides in the polls the Republicans are not picking up support either. Hardly surprising when you read a headline like this one. Sheer stupidity.
America is just disgusted with the entire process.
But of course killing support for a federal government has always been the Republicans end game. They would rather governors like my own Mark Sanford and the likes of what was once Gov. Palin make critical decisions. And as bad as the the federal government functions nothing compares to the incompetence of most local governance.
All of this is the end result of Idiot America and its devotion to talk radio, garbage websites like WND, and mindless conspiracy theories. Idiots like Alanocu use terms like "Stalinist" without a clue to what they are talking about. A ridiculous reference just as stupid as the woman who referred to "Nazi America" the other day. There are no purges coming or gulags waiting. The intellectuals are taking a drubbing but this time its from ordinary citizens not government.
The lobbies and the ultra wealthy who benefit from them are still firmly in control of the legislative branch. If this healthcare debate has shown nothing else it has proven that fact. The charge of socialism is an absolute joke when (as we have to point out once again) 40% of America's financial wealth is controlled by 1%. We are so far from any such system it is laughable. Yet their schills throw out these canards to the mindless masses. And these people do vote and reply to polls.
It reminds me of the tune the British played as they left Yorktown. It was called "The World Turned Upside Down". The ironic part is that this now relates far more to the Americans who defeated them. We have become our own worst enemy. One can only wonder how long this can last?

Well well well.... it's been a tough deal for the young OBama and crew as they find out how those 'bitter folks clinging to their guns and Bibles' of the 'chattering class' feel about his Government health plan for the American proletariat

But.... they may of been surprised, but they are planning a comeback;

The democrats are now saying they'll just go ahead and pass their government health care bill without the republicans because it was republicans who lied and convinced people the bill was bad. So why haven't they done that already? Republicans can't stop them from passing it even if they all vote against it.

It looks like we are going to have to wait a little bit longer to 'take our country back' from the abyss created by George W. Bush and the scum that currently serve as Republicans in congress! -

here is what Grassley said about how he would vote. Shows how he puts his party above his country. republicans don't care about the country they say they love it's all about the party.
Reply
"Mr. Grassley, the top Republican on the finance committee, has been making the rounds on cable news networks in recent days. He told MSNBC on Monday that he could not vote for a health care bill that did not have significant Republican support – even if he thought it was a good piece of legislation.
“I’m negotiating for Republicans,” said Mr. Grassley, who is running for a sixth term in 2010. “If I can’t negotiate something that gets more than four Republicans, I’m not a very good representative of my party.”
You would think we would negotiate for his country too. -

Come on... Let's say you think his plan was Stalinist. Now he's saying "OK, looks like that was a bad plan, I'll scrap it". Then you start bashing him for being weak? No wonder no one ever reverses positions.
Reply
Assuming he truly does give up some of the plan, good for him. If he heard the people and decided to follow their desires, good for him. It actually gives me more confidence in him that he can listen and change course. Gratz Obama! -

What happened to the brutal chicago street-thug?

The measure we take, of those who post these

They can give Obama no faintest honor;
