Charles Krauthammer Dismantles Barack Obama’s Agenda »
Posted By btatman22 3 months, 2 weeks ago in Political OpinionDr. Krauthammer is on Fox News. He is an M.D. and a lawyer and is paralyzed from the neck down. A friend went to hear Charles Krauthammer. He listened with twenty others in a closed room. What he says here, is not second-hand news, but first-hand. The ramifications are staggering for us, our children and their children.

I don't think most Europeans have ever understood America. The philosophical concept of individual rights, where the government is subservient to the citizens, is opposite to their entire history. I think it was General Cornwallis who said at the battle of Yorktown "everything will change." I don't remember who said at the time of our War of Revolution (the Civil War in British history) that the world was turned upside down.

Sadly, today, many Americans don't understand the American philosophy and think more like Europeans.

... but rather to change everything, including dismantling capitalism.... and wants to level the playing field with income redistribution and punishment to the achievers of society
There is absolutly no proof of either statement. Boo to scare you Americans to stupid to realize the prgressive tax scale has been in use for quite some time and it would be impossible for the Government to dismantle capitalism.-

Ah, but there is proof... you just didn't want to hear it.

Thankfully, we've been able to stem the statist tide a little over the last 80-90 years, but if Obama gets this health care thing done and it leads to a single payer system (like he and the Democrats say it will) then the dismantling will be complete and the last great hope of freedom will collapse into tyranny.

Yet again, Fresh Conservative shows that they very little grasp of what words mean:

What he says here, is not second-hand news, but first-hand.
I have summarized his comments
When Krauthammer said what was summarized, it was at least a second-hand opinion of Obama's intentions (first-hand would be for Obama to offer these observations himself). When Krauthammer's words were summarized by the author, they passed through an additional hand, so we have, at best, third-hand news. I guess it's true. It wasn't second-hand.
I should have stopped reading there. But I was curious... maybe Krauthammer "is forthright and careful in his analysis, and never resorts to emotions or personal insults. He is neither a fear monger nor an extremist in his comments and views. He is a fiscal conservative, and has received a Pulitzer Prize for his writings." But apparently, Krauthammer's words weren't good enough for the author of this piece. He had to "summarize" them for us, and the author may be not resemble any of those shining compliments he showered on Krauthammer. The things "summarized" certainly don't seem original, nor "brilliant[ly] intellectual, seasoned and articulate."-

Some interesting stuff in there; that deserves to be thought about, though not necessarily blindly accepted.

"Strong national defense" and what it means have always sort of intrigued me. Obviously, we don't wan't e.g. Moldavia to invade Santa Fe. But there's a loooong stretch between there and where we are now. One has to wonder at what point it ceases becoming defense and starts being something else.

FTA: Obama doesn't really see himself as President of the United States, but more as a ruler over the world. He sees himself above it all, trying to orchestrate and coordinate various countries and their agendas. He sees moral equivalency in all cultures. His apology tour in Germany and England was a prime example of how he sees America, as an imperialist nation that has been arrogant, rather than a great noble nation that has at times made errors. This is the first President ever who has chastised our allies and appeased our enemies.

How could he possible know what Obama sees himself as ??
The arrogance of the GWB admin. toward the rest of the world has done on told damage to this nation that will take years to
overcome. I think it was GWB that chastised out allies (you are either with us or your are with the terrorist)
