This time he took his message to a number of faith- based groups via a live conference all that was also simulcast on the Internet by the website faithforhealth.org.

guny - he doesn't talk specifics because a) he didn't write the bill, b) he hasn't read the bill. c) he doesn't really know what is in the bill.

I think he just has no answer to the objections of those opposed to health care reform. He can stay on message promoting the benefits, but how do you answer those who are opposed based on wanting to turn the clock back on the federal government's authority to even administer Medicare, FDA, or to collect income tax?

The people that work for big companies,the government, and the rich are happy with their insurance where the individual business owner,the small business owner,the unemployed(especially over 50) are screwed. There needs to be some kind of financial subsidies for these people that are left out.

This is NOT about Dems or Reps. This is about a massive TRILLION Dollar giveaway that will bury us deeper in an unmanageable national debt and literally cause overwhelming inflation. In itself, the bill is a thrown together, uncoordinated 600-page document that is a conglomeration of poorly thought-out ideas and simpleton views and shoved in a rush to the US population. Only fools would consider such a document as THE foundation of real health care reform.

As with many other provisions, HOW ABOUT a 10-page document that manages tort law and malpractice, redefines and funds Medicare and Medicaid to cover the uninsured, and removal of the AMA as the provider of MDs and health care professionals? -

Let every Congressman and their families, the President and his family, the Presidential Staff and their families all buy into the Obama's Health Care Plan, giving up any other Health Care plan, Medical insurance, HMO, etc., that they now have thus proving how wonderful Obama's Plan is, then come to the rest of us and ask us to buy into it. I would never buy anything unless I know the seller is sold on the product themselves. Also, I would not vote for anyone who would expect me to do something they wouldn't.

Why do Canadians and Brits come to Amercia for medical assistance? Because they cant wait 11 months for hip surgery, or 5 months for heart surgery or 2 months for a bed in Obstetrics when you are due to give birth. And oh yes,if are over 60 too bad. You are on your own. No open heart surgery (need it or not), no stents, by-passes, valve repalcements. Youa are told to live with it.
Some towns citizens have to wait in line for 28 hours just to get a dentist appointment.
