Posted By gkaglobal 3 months, 4 weeks ago in Science & TechnologyUsing a shared IP is a common practice in the web hosting world and is one of the easiest and cheaper way to do. The fact is that our web host provider hosts several websites on the same server as ours. While some of these websites are good and useful ones, there are many other sites which belong to bad category and are spammers. These all categories of website share the same server / IP address, which may turn out to become bad to our sites reputation and may affect our website.

Baloney!!! I have 30 domains on a shared server using the same IP address. Google, for instance goes by domain, not IP address for SERPS, PageRank, etc. The sites are quick with the average rendering times in the range of .05 to .1 milliseconds. Also, IP address has nothing to do with resource sharing on the same physical server.
