This is a weak attempt. The author says the man is making light of what the town hall disrupter's have been called. However, clearly the man is making light of the DHS report saying that came out a while back. Just as the Marine Vietnam vet I spoke to this past weekend was with his shirt that said the same.

Forbid that anyone mention that the Pilgrims behaved in often reprehensible fashion. Or that they left England in order to practice their brutally repressive fundamentalism. No amount of Disney revisionism can change those facts. I think of the absolute rubbish we were taught decades ago in school and it makes me want to puke.

Most of the Mayflower and other early settlers DID arrive holding their hands out for help and would have died in much, much larger numbers had it not been for the Native Americans who nursemaided them through multiple winters. -
