The Race Idiots »

We hear things such as “Our strength lies in our diversity,” “Religion has caused all the wars in history,” and “Everything is a matter of perspective” proclaimed with theological assurance. Of course, the last supposition is contradictory, and embracing it renders moral supposition itself meaningless. Regardless, it’s natural for man to make sense of the world by “profiling” elements of reality.

If "God" is telling you you are better than everyone else and it doesn't matter if you you screw them over (when I was a kid, "good" Christians told me to hate ni**ers, then to hate hippies, then environmentalists, then feminists, then college professors, then Hispanics, then college students, then "liberals," then scientists, and most loudly recently to hate gays, then you have a bad "faith."

THAT kind of "religion" helps NO ONE, and is slowly being unseated from the halls of power that it stalked for a century and was encouraged by such as Reagan and George Bush.
Fundamentalism (Christian, Muslim, Hindu, etc) has done more to drive people away from religion than all the atheists put together.
The fact that American Fundamentalists following Falwell, Robertson, Swaggart, Osteen, and the rest, are almost EXCLUSIVELY Republican speaks for itself.-

One excellent conceit on this otherwise tawdry effort - the presentation of the text below the tail of the elephant. Democrats will delight in all the crap that they find heaped beneath their symbolic beast - for once the vulgar expression "democrap" becomes exalted - how delightful!

All it now needs is a matching odour and the lovers of elephant sh!t will arrive in their droves.
