SIBEL EDMONDS' DEPOSITION: VIDEO AND TRANSCRIPT RELEASED »
Posted By jovial 3 months ago in Political NewsJust over two weeks ago, FBI translator-turned-whistleblower Sibel Edmonds was finally allowed to speak about much of what the Bush Administration spent years trying to keep her from discussing publicly on the record. Twice gagged by the Bush Dept. of Justice's invocation of the so-called "State Secrets Privilege," Edmonds has been attempting to tell her story, about the crimes she became aware of while working for the FBI, for years.

not simply has the DOJ maintained the gag order for seven years but congress has effectively done the same thing. she offered to testify under oath for a number of different congressional committees and all refused her.
Reply
why?
too many bigwigs of both parties would become indictable.
the official suppression of her story ranks as one of the top censored stories of the decade. on the other hand, she's still alive. -

Who's privileged? Above us...the citizens?
The ACLU has published much concerning this privilege. -

Her early life offers clues to how she ended up in her current situation. She was born in Iran in 1970, and then moved back and forth between Iran and Turkey for the first 18 years of her life, spending approximately equal time in both countries, before coming to the United States in 1988 as a student.

Thank you jovial. I am still curious as to what the next step is now that the proverbial cat is out of the bag.

Obviously, we (Americans in general) have been disappointed by the lack of pursuit on any charges of misconduct by any government officials that didn't directly tie into or support the administration in charge.
So, again, what's the next step?-

The MSM is ignoring this story completely. I don't know why. Maybe it's the fear of being labeled by conservatives as a traitor or Obama stories are more lucrative. I don't really know. There have been alleged crimes committed in this country that involve our national security reported by a FBI whistleblower under oath and no one, but a few of us, even care enough to talk about it.

'Edmonds has made a series of allegations regarding government officials and knowledge of world affairs. She alleges that, in the course of her work for the government, she found evidence that the FBI, State Department[9], and Pentagon had been infiltrated by a Turkish and Israeli-run intelligence network that paid high-ranking American officials to steal nuclear weapons secrets.[10]
Reply
She claims that the FBI received information in April 2001, from Behrooz Sarshar,[11] a Farsi translator, that Osama Bin Laden was planning attacks on 4-5 cities with planes, some of the people were already in the country and the attacks would happen in a few months.[12][13]
Edmonds also alleged that, while listening to wiretaps in her capacity as FBI analyst, she heard foreign-government functionaries bragging about having bribed Dennis Hastert.[14]
She has further alleged that one high-ranking member of the State Department was selling classified information to Washington-based agents of the Republic of Turkey, who were in turn selling these secrets on the black market.[15]
Many of Edmonds' accusations have been corroborated by anonymous letters allegedly written by FBI employees.[8] -

National Security Whistleblowers Coalition
Reply
In August, 2004, Edmonds founded the National Security Whistleblowers Coalition (NSWBC), an alliance of whistleblowers who have come forward to address security weaknesses of the US.
The NSWBC helps national security agency whistleblowers through advocacy of governmental and legal reform, public education on whistleblowing activity, provision of comfort and fellowship to national security whistleblowers suffering retaliation and other harms, and working with other public interest organizations.
NSWBC is involved in backing former intelligence analyst Russ Tice, who was dismissed by the National Security Agency (NSA) in May, 2005. On December 16, 2005, ABC reported that Tice was among the sources of a leak about illegal NSA wiretap programs, ordered by the White House and first disclosed by the New York Times.[citation needed]
On August 8, 2009, Sibel Edmonds testified[36] in a deposition in a case between Ohio Representative Jean Schmidt (OH-R) and her Democratic challenger, David Krikorian. Rep. Schmidt was accused by Mr. Krikorian of taking "blood money" from Turkish lobby groups, and Rep. Schmidt has sued.
Ms. Edmonds testified under oath at the National Whistleblowers Center headquarters in Washington, DC. A court reporter was there and Edmonds was finally able to speak about all of allegations she has been maintaining from the beginning.
The FBI initially tried to dissuade her from testifying, but she sent a letter to them notifying them that she was going to testify, and the Justice Department did not show up at the meeting and did not stop her.[citation needed] -

I would have have to say that the Orly Taitz crowd are certifiably insane. This woman worked for the FBI. Your hero Orly got a law degree from a home correspondence course. Are you still sending her money? I am sure she appreciates you being a good sucker.

so you all can call me a nut - but I am always suspicious when a story seems just a little too good to be true. If I were a spy, I would do what she has done. Get a job where I can learn enough to make a fuss and make the US intelligence agency look even stupider than it is.

She got the Sam Adams award, and that proves a lot.
Reply
Not to mention what the senate and FBI had to say about her career and statements, which was all POSITIVE.
BTW, any idiot who actually follows the story and KNOWS anything about Sible Edmonds would know she was born in TURKEY, not Iran, but that lie is all part of "Kill the Messenger". Klarissa is Klucking Kookily away... -

You're still in to discrediting her more than realizing the implications. $200,000.00 income for one person isn't a big thing in America let alone that being the income for a company. What are you trying to say again? The CEO of a healthinsurance company can make $200,000.00 in less than a month. This isn't big time living.
