Posted By onlyonesecret 4 months ago in Health & FitnessCuriously absent from all the health advice being handed out on the swine flu by the White House, the CDC, the WHO and even the FDA is any mention of Vitamin D or other natural remedies that offer enormous protections from influenza infections.

where does this fear, hate and disinformation come from?

mercury? the new bugaboo. you don't remember all the lead we were exposed to until about 1980? we are exposed to a tiny fraction of mercury as we were to lead.
both are nastily toxic.
mercury can't have an effect, unless you believe in homeopathy or witch doctory (same thing).
vaccines are the biggest human health improvement since clean water and antiseptics.

"It is a well-known medical fact, of course, that influenza always gets worse during the winter months North of the equator and the summer months South of the equator (which are really called their "winter" months). This is because as sunlight hours lessen during the winter, the people living there become vitamin D deficient and are susceptible to influenza infections of all kinds."
While it is quite true that vitamin D deficiencies disrupt the immune system, the fact is that vitamin deficiencies of any kind are actually rare in our country, and especially among children under 5 and young adults 18-25, which are the groups suffering the highest mortality from H1N1. The seasonal differences are not nutritional, but SOCIAL, with large group contacts in school, and in in-door activities more popular in winter, like sporting events and movies. The CDC is not set up as a scam to hurt your health. They have NOTHING to gain from a disease emergency, and everything to gain from preventing one. By all means, see to it that you get the vitamins you need. If you don't eat properly, take any reasonable one-a-day vitamin product for people your age. But do as the CDC says. Wash your hands. Keep your hands out of your face, especially your eyes and nose. Cover up when you sneeze or cough. AND STAY HOME IF YOU FEEL SICK, AND SEND HOME YOUR EMPLOYEES WHO ARE.-

Take any reasonable One a Day Vitamin?

No...you are wasting your money on that type of product because they are missing key nutrients, and the levels of the nutrients they do contain are so low that they are basically useless.
Just remember... Without enzymes, vitamins and minerals will not work.

It could be true, but a statistically significant correlation between the number of flu infections and the amount of sunlight / vitamine D deficiency... does not prove cause and effect any more than a relationship between the number of flu infections and the wearing of winter clothing would prove hats as a cause of influenza infection. Other potential associations exist, such as depressed immunity due to the stress of getting a chill or changes in the nasal lining due to breathing dry forced air, etc. When they are proven, the medical establishment buys in. Alternative medicine proponents should consider this process.
