Three soldiers convicted of murder in late March 2007 execution-style slayings of four bound and blindfolded Iraqi detainees. One of the three soldiers sentenced to life filed a clemency petition and the convening authority reduced his sentence to 40 years. Master Sergeant John E. Hatley will be eligible for parole in 20 years.
