Cafferty File: Sarah Palin Is A Clown Who Is Destroying The Image Of Women In Politics »
Posted By mesodude 3 months ago in Political OpinionFirst she called Pres. Obama’s health care plan “evil” and said it would create “death panels.” Now Sarah Palin is urging restraint at town hall meetings.
In comments on her Facebook page, the former governor of Alaska (who quit in the middle of her first term) says there are many “disturbing details” in the health care bill, but that “we must stick to a discussion of the issues and not get sidetracked by tactics that can be accused of leading to intimidation or harassment.”

It's soooo easy for those on the right to call everything "socialism". What they fail to realize is that we already have socialism. When you need to call 911 do we get a recording of "Have your credit card ready for the next available agent.."? If this were truly a capaitalistic society the wealthy would have their own fire & police services they contract for-the rest of us would go begging for a volunteer force. All roads would be toll roads or they would be dirt paths.
Reply
We as a nation decided long ago that it was to the mutual benefit of all that we collectively paid for things like police. fire and a national highway system (although some toll roads and bridges do exist).
It's about time we did the same with health care. The bleating from the right citing polls that disagree--guess what guys..? This is a republic, not a democracy (as the right would so proudly point out)and we are not governed by polls or majority rule. Get ready for some legislation--like it or not-

thats right a republic subject to laws and rules. and those laws and rules state that it has to be passed by representatives in the Senate and House, And those representatives do not get elected again if they do not listen to and represent their constituents. Blame Emanuel for this one. He seeded the congress with the Blue Dogs thinking he and Pelosi could control them (dictatorship) Apparently you are for majority rule since you control both houses and want the both the House and Senate fo blindly follow the ORDERS OF DER LEADER without debate and input from the people. DICTATORSHIP........But thats to be expected from the OBOTS

---We're talking about people who pretend that no-bid contracts are no big deal. These are also the same people who think the Justice Department firings were no big deal--even though talented Republican attorneys were replaced with far less talented attorneys as a favor to George Bush's pal Pat Robertson. That's the con concept of merit-based hiring. This is what cons mean when they talk about working hard for everything. When I point out these kinds of things to cons time and time again, they shrug, and yawn and then go back to bleating about "socialism" and how it's not fair that they work so hard to get everything and everyone else wants to take it away from them. Twisted, no? ;-(

--Ughhh...Can't you stay on topic, pc?! Why must you resort to using red herrings or paper tigers or trojan horses or whatever?! I specifically posted this story to revel in my hatred for Sarah Palin and I will *NOT* have you ruining my buzz by attacking Jack Cafferty!! This story is about Sarah Palin, the most crooked politician who ever lived!! I can't believe all of the horrible, awful and just not very nice things she has done!! And still she gets away with it!!! I don't want to talk about crooked left wing politicians--even if they did the same thing that Palin did or worse. It doesn't matter. This post is not about them!! You'll have to post on that yourself, ok?
This is MY thread. I own it. In fact, I own this whole SITE!!! You got that?!! So please have the decency to allow me to pretend that I genuinely care about crazy corrupt politicians in general (even if I only post negative stories about those on the right). Just STAY ON TOPIC!!! ;-x

lloyd, you're the boob here. I don't know any progressives who are afraid of Palin. We for the most part find her idiosyncrasy's humorous and somewhat distasteful. She is the poster child for the GOP, lying, incompetent and ignorant.

I fear Sarah Palin, the ignorant demagogue, the unenlightened politician, the fame-seeking ideologue.
I fear the great harm she has done to political discourse in our country and the greater harm she could inflict on our Republic if she were ever to ascend to public office again.
She spouts off cliches, unfounded assumptions, and downright lies.
She has every right to make speeches, appear on talk shows, and write newspaper columns, but she should never be allowed to be elected again.
By the way, has she ever written an intelligent newspaper column or insightful essay? Just asking.

I like Jack...one of the few news people that I do like. I guess this video pretty well sums up what Palin is all about. She is pretending to be a politician and doing lousy job of acting. How anybody can claim that she was a contender for vice president is beyond me. I see the people dropping this story and wonder about them. Did Palin suggest there would be a "Death Panel" (fact).....now is she now approaching health care in a different manner (fact) By doing this, is she playing politics and making herself out to be a liar (fact). What is it you guys cannot grasp? Are you so hung up on "your team" that you are blinded by the truth?

She is, - a genius.
She keeps lulling us into a false sense of
security, - and then we are sucker-punched
by some move that seems so foolish,
so naive,
so non-leaderlike,
that we turn away in embarrasment.
And that makes her dangerous !
She could walk past the security guards
at a nuclear plant while they were
laughing at the machiavelian move of
quitting her governorship.
If she is the 2012 Republican nominee,
- I fear for my party.
Laughter may be the best medicine;
- but too much of any medicine is an overdose. -
